I added repair patches to Hound to make him look more like junk, and then painted him in Detritus' colors. Then I used a silver pen to give him scratch marks for even more battle damage.

I like it, but why "Phantasy Star Universe?"

I love that game, and Phantasy Star Online - but don't know why it's in the title :P

Hound was bad enough, I could have never imagined it ever looking worse UNTIL NOW!!!!

Phantasy Star? I didn't put that there. Any way as far as ruining a perfectly good Hound, I picked him up for the sole purpose of this bash and for making Steeljaw from Ravage. He is a Junkion so I didn't think a straight repaint would do. Thus the scrap metal panels.

So thank you I'm glad you guys think he looks like junk as that's what I was going for. :tflaugh

Me thinks the bot is a bit addicted to Phantasy Star as of late. They had a post about the The Rock in one other other sections that had Phantasy Star attached to it, too. :tflaugh (stupid bot being addicted to it. It's like it's mocking my in-ability to play it..)

Anywho, onto the subject. Detritus looks pretty good. I like the scrap metal panels, but I think what would make him look better, is if some of the panels were colored silver, and the dark brown(it's supposed to be rust, right?) was done in smaller patches.

I like the idea, and while the execution is INTENTIONALLY sloppy, I'm not crazy about the (admittedly small) amount of Hound's original green showing. It might be almost passable as rust, but it really looks more like what it is, areas left unpainted. Believe me, I understand how difficult these types of repaints can be; I recommend getting in there and fixing what areas you can with a fine tip brush; if necessary, actually ADD some forest green smudges of grime to make what you can't get to, or would rub off, blend in with the color scheme better. Personally, I'd go over it with a wash of flat black, but then, I'm somewhat partial to blackwashing; for a Junkion, it would make perfect sense...

('Wonder how long before someone kitbashes Hound into a form of Soundwave, for obvious reasons?)

Nice job, I really like the junk panels you attatched to him, did you use styrene or was it actually bits of plastic from other things? That would of really added to the effect you wanted. Might I suggest if you make another, try giving it a silver underlayer of paint, then sand the coat of tan paint down so it looks like a car who's paint has worn down to the primer, or something to that effect.

That's actually what I was trying for with the silver pen but it didn't show up. I guess this guy isn't as done as I thought he was. I'll have to see what I can do when I get home in the morning.

Ok he's done now.
