  1. Finally used a $3 off coupon from Target to get Construct-Bots Predaking, a store exclusive I didn't even know existed. Apparently #11 of the "Thrilling 30." http://www.target.com/p/transformers-construct-a-bots-predacons-rising-predaking-buildable-action-figure/-/A-14542640
  2. The brown on Ratchet, along with the design of his weapon, reminds me a lot of Dinobot. 'Intentional homage?...
  3. Cool; wish we had a photo from the front to see the new headlights. Although, for me, it just doesn't feel like a Corvette (especially a Stingray) without the double tail lights...
  4. I saw they had the Human Alliance figures on clearance, too. 'Picked up Barricade for about $13...
  5. At first I thought that was the Human Alliance mold rather than the Deluxe, since I have the HA figure only. Sorry for the confusion.
  6. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "slop;" have you tried putting, say, Darkray/Caliburst in Darkstream's hand? I think that would work a lot better and would be better matched...
  7. Definitely one I'll be picking up. And is it just me, or does Steamhammer, in combined mode, have a fold-out Minicon peg on his chest?
  8. The problem as I understand it is not that Skyblast/Darkstream's hand peg holes are too big, it's that they aren't deep enough, a problem shared with Huffer/Crankcase, Double Clutch and possibly some of the other Wave 2's. I probably, if I had any interest in Darkstream, would swap his Minicon for Windburn's; the idea of a helicopter robot with an axe as a weapon is more interesting.
  9. If you're wondering why Beacon is bright red, well, look back at the review for Windburn and the bright red on his figure. The two toys, redecos of the Searchlight set, were probably produced on the same - sprue? Line? - and redistributed. (EDIT: Then again, the only red on Windburn to be carried over to Beacon is the former light piping of the eyes, which was clear green for Searchlight...) Meanwhile, of the redecos, I'm only interested in Steelshot for some reason, and plan to get Crankcase. I finally gave up on trying to find Wave 2 figures Sledge and Leadfoot and ordered them online...
  10. Pretty cool. I'd like to reiterate my Cybertron Evac as Movie Blackout request, and add a new one: Movie Arcee as G2 Road Rocket... [Or if you prefer, the repaint of THAT, RiD Sideways.]
  11. Here's my idea: At BotCon, we've seen repaints of Cybertron Evac as Springer and Blades, both of which have already been done as fan customs. I was just looking at my own Evac figure, and wondering if anyone would want to digibash (or actually paint!) Evac as Blackout? Obviously, movie (only other helicopter Blackout being the purple helicopter from Energon); ideally, he should have the same face or slightly altered rather than simply pasting the movie model or toy's head over his own. Might be interesting...
  12. I agree. If nobody's able to pick up on my last request, though, here's a particularly silly one: Nemashis Prime. http://www.hasbrotoyshop.com/Files_Main/22...7bf_Main400.jpg
  13. I've seen a lot of digital recolor threads lately, and would like to add my own: I'd really like to see someone make a Micromaster Stunticon team as a Photoshop of Micromaster Defensor/Sixturbo, or, if possible, an actual repaint. If I could find another set, I'd seriously consider painting this one myself. While the fire truck, ambulance and police car make for some serious artistic license, I'm sure the design overall would lend itself quite well to adding another Decepticon team to the Micromaster universe. I imagine you could give the individual 'bots G1 names, or the sort of one-off names that Hasbro uses lately due to legal rights. I see the police car as black or dark gray, the ambulance as a white and blue van, the racecar as of course yellow, the fire truck as black, purple, and gray, the Diablo-like car as brown, and the motorcycle is negotiable but likely black and red. Your color choices can of course vary. (If I were doing this in real life, my first step would be to cut off the "wings" on the chest piece to allow the arms to move, or perhaps reattach them facing forward/up.) G1 Menasor: http://www.tfu.info/1986/Decepticon/Menasor/robotmode.jpg Universe Defensor / Micromaster Sixturbo: http://www.tfu.info/2002/Cybertron/Sixturbo/robotmode.jpg Is it possible to find a second Defensor or Sixturbo set at a reasonable price three years later? Probably not.
  14. Here's a somewhat quick coloring job for this one... Someone's got to do this one, right?
  15. Just for the heck of adding my two cents, here's a sketch I did of two of my vampire characters in my medieval fantasy comic - vampire master Bludgeon and assassin Scourge - dressed as their Transformers counterparts for All Hallows' Eve. (Yes, the intake on Scourge's head is far too large.) (Not shown: vampire anticleric Dirge and vampire draconian commander Thunderwing.) Also, although this probably not the kind of art you're looking for, I repainted Vector Prime's Minicon, Safeguard/Roots, into Ariel. (The severe blackwashing is to fit with the severely blackwashed VP repaint, Alpha Trion.)
