Eh. I got him and War Within Megatron as gifts, and still managed to get that nagging feeling that I overpaid.

Which is odd, since I also bought War Within Thundercracker, who is only nominally better... and Mr Legs Pop Off Their Joints himself, Scourge.

I like both. Plastic bec. it's cheaper and more durable as far as paint/finishes, and die-cast because it feels heftier and stronger. Because I don't really "play" w/ my TFs, die-cast parts don't see any real abuse, so if I happen to buy a die-cast TF new, such as the recent Titanium Grimlock and Prowl, they will staynice and chip-free for a long time.

So... I'm genuinely curious here. What's the advantage of die-cast then?

If you don't "play" with your TFs then the heftiness and feeling of strength of die-cast is moot. However, die-cast weighs more so it tends to be tougher on joints (see: most Titaniums, even MP Prime) thus impeding posability.

I agree, I disliked all but Magnus and WW Prime of that line.

Is the only reason you like WW Prime so much is because he's Optimus Prime and he automatically gets "cool" points?

No - I'm not a giant Optimus fan, I mean I like him, but ehn. No I like it cause I genuinely loved the design that Don gave WW Prime in the comics, same for Prowl, Jazz, Wheeljack, and some others. I didn't care much for the interpretation of WW Prowl once I saw it in hand, or I would have bought it the other day.

FYI anyone who doesn't want their Titanium WW Prime anymore, I can PM you my address and stuff.

Personally I think the paint looks better on die-cast, and less 'toy-ish' than it does on plastic.

which version of ww prime are you looking for? the 1st one or the version that came with ww megatron?

the paint. the first had the translucent swirly paint, the two pack and opaque paint, more like mp prime.
