I like both. Plastic bec. it's cheaper and more durable as far as paint/finishes, and die-cast because it feels heftier and stronger. Because I don't really "play" w/ my TFs, die-cast parts don't see any real abuse, so if I happen to buy a die-cast TF new, such as the recent Titanium Grimlock and Prowl, they will staynice and chip-free for a long time.

I agree, I disliked all but Magnus and WW Prime of that line.

Is the only reason you like WW Prime so much is because he's Optimus Prime and he automatically gets "cool" points?

'cause pound for pound, Titanium Cheetor is just a better display piece AND toy.

Oh, and continuing the diecast vs plastic comments:

My alternators Hound can stand erect and pose well.

I honestly like Titanium WW Prime. He's the only one in the whole line that I think "wow that's really cool" apart from any other considerations.

And the chipping paint works in his favor IMO; it suits the look of the figure.

Eh. His design was never a good one for me (Dreamwave art wasn't loathed by me, but it didn't excite either), and while he may look nice, he's one of the floppiest Titaniums they ever made.

display piece'd

I don't disagree with you BTW

I like both so it's hard to choose between the two. Sure metal chips, but it is rather sturdy. Then there's plastic which can be flimsy at times, but it does allow for some great posing in a figure.

*still wishes he had picked up Titanium WW OP*

I would say that Cheetor was probably the single best toy out of that entire line.

money Hasbro brings in from fan influence

I'm reminded by this everytime I note that the "movie" section at the toy store is just as (or even more) prominent than Animated or Universe.

Fanboyz wonder why this is the case, but seem to forget that Hasbro isn't stupid, they wouldn't still have a giant movie section if a lot of people weren't buying them...

Titanium WW OP was AWSUMSAUCE. ANd I guess little Scourge Jr. wasn't too bad, either...
