First they were blue, then the Beast Era gave us red for Primal (who is not a Prime), and now, ever since RID, Optimus Prime has had yellow eyes. Now, I realize the G1 toy had yellow eyes, but on the show, his eyes were blue and that is what I'm going by. Has yellow become the standard eye colors for Optimus now? I'm not Starscreaming and trying to say that the eyes should be blue. I actually think it's pretty neat. The yellow kind of off-sets the blue and gray of the had, which if he had blue eyes would be blended together too much, ala 20th Prime. Does anyone else agree with me that the yellow eyes actually make Optimus Prime look better than if he had bl…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TARmZei64x8 On this episode of Microphone Monday, I was honored to have dinner with and interview the timeless and extremely talented Rob Paulsen. Rob has been doing voices for almost 3 decades. He was Snow Job on the original GI JOE as well as Slingshot and Air Raid and several others on Transformers G1.

http://www.alteredstatesmag.com/features/a...s/hi_dai-oh.php I know it's over a year old, so I didn't post it in "news", but I believe not many people here are aware of it yet. THIS is the man responsible for the official Binaltech background story, and also the guy who wrote and drew the "Linkage" comic. He's a huge fan of Western fiction (superhero comic books), and aside from some details about how the e-Hobby exclusives and their bios are done, he also explains the fundamental difference between the Japanese and the American approach to Transformers (Japan: Power makes the hero; USA: using power wisely makes the hero). I really like this guy and his wo…

Of all the continuities of Transformers, which character would you love to see appear, or perhaps even have a permanent position, within "Animated"? I must say, I'm personally very thrilled with the rumour of Waspinator appearing in "Animated". I think he can really work within the Decepticon Legion. Plus, he's such a lovable character. Another character I would love to see back in one form or another is Tarantulas. Yes, Starscream is a schemer, and very capable too. However, he's not as sneaky and perverted as Tarantulas. Nor is he as secretive or sinister. One could see him taking on a transorganic existence because, as a mad scientist, he believes that to be th…

I feel sad to say that I wasn't originally a fan of transformers when it first came out in 84, as a matter of fact I wasn't even on this planet yet. that's why when the movie came out in the summer of 2007 I was a little bit spectacle, on how they were going to make giant robots work, with live-action and of course cgi and makes it in to make a completely, different kind of movie going experience. my thoughts were somewhat subdued when I heard that Michael Bay, and executive producer Steven Spielberg were going to spearhead the project, from that moment on my interest in seeing the film quadrupled due to the fact that I am a huge Michael Bay supporter and I love Steven Sp…
