I'm down for Skullgrin. I wonder what design they're going to go with him though. Iguanus went for shell for the robot mode and then the inner robot's vehicle mode. If they do the same here then it's going to not look much different than the old Generations deluxe. And out of all the older figures, that's one that's actually going to be difficult to be better than. It has more articulation than most third party figures. The hands and wrists alone make that mold amazing. It has wrist swivels, it has natural looking opening hands that actually hold weapons without dropping them without having to be designed like Siege Jetfire's hands and to top it all off, the wrist ball pegs allow for not only inward motion to hold the pickax with both hands but it has downward motion so he can point the pickax forward. Ninety degree elbow bends as well as a secondary elbow bend inward that actually looks natural to hold his pickax like He-Man or Lion-O hold their swords up in the air. Bicep swivels. Ball jointed shoulder which honestly can be designed a bit better as the cuts are at odd angles. Inner shoulder movement that almost acts like butterfly joints. Ball jointed neck that allows for a good range on the head. Waist swivel. Ball jointed hips. Thigh swivels. Deep knee bends. Ball jointed ankles allowing the foot to go forward and back as well as have some very nice ankle pivots. The only thing it really doesn't have is ankle rotation but most Transformers don't do that anyway. I'm still looking forward to a new Skullgrin though. I'm just reminding people how good that old mold was. At least with Straxus, the rumor (which might be untrue) is that he's going to be a leader class figure and possibly based on Galvatron which would more than make up for not being as good as the Generations deluxe. It's just a deluxe to a deluxe is going to draw a lot more comparisons especially if they do the shell for the robot mode again.
Dead End is Dead End.
Pointblank worries me as it's coming with Peacemaker. Unless they somehow pull a Kingdom/Legacy Blaster and Eject and have an amazing figure that still comes with a partner without having to sacrifice anything that is. I doubt that at the deluxe size though. I can see it happening if it's going to be a retool of an existing mold to free up some of the budget for the Targetmaster. Oh wait, the Targetmaster could use one of the Battlemaster designs and not new so that will help to keep costs low. I'm still worried about this though. Not that it matters to me about Peacemaker, I have the Takara Legends Targetmaster for him anyway. It's just Pointblank that worries me. Crosshairs kind of worked as just being a head swap of Siege Ironhide but I don't see anything working for Pointblank except for like maybe Punch/Counterpunch. But it would still need an extensive retool to pull it off.
On a side note, I got the Crosshairs upgrade kit that has the transforming wheels that plug into the back and has the wheels swing to the back in robot mode. It's pretty good. The transformation hinge for the wheels were a little loose though. Nothing some Kiki joint tightener didn't fix.
