My unboxing and review of Fans hobby Lightning Eagle is up! Fans Hobby as usual doesn't disappoint. I also like the preview of Machine Eagle (Machine Wars Optimus Prime) in the instructions. Can't for that to come out.

My review of Civil Warrior's CW-01 General Grant aka Masterpiece War Within Optimus Prime. I do have some QC issues with this figure. This is a new 3P company and I would very much like to give them a chance at their after sales support. I hope it will be a positive outcome. Overall I am generally pleased with the figure design.

Some kinds of plastics are extremely resistant to paint no matter what you do. These are usually toughened waxy plastics/superhard plastics like polyoxymethylene that make up parts of a figure that could easily be stressed if made from the usual pvc or abs. The limbs of the Transformers Siege Battle Masters are made of this stuff and you need to color them, so what do you do? It's RIT DyeMore for synthetics to the rescue! Mix half the bottle of dye with a cup or so of water, boil the liquid on med to high heat just so you get a gentle rolling boil and drop your parts in. I like to suspend mine in a strainer so I can 'lift and look' to check the color. In under a minute the pieces will start to be dyed with a color that won't rub off! The longer you soak them the deeper the color. Here I've dyed the lower half of Slitherfang and used testors/tamiya lacquers to paint his upper half! You can even use him with your GI Joe Classified figures as a shield or drone. For more pics slither on over to his page here: Custom dyed Slitherfang

He's finished, a Siege style Vehicon based off the Decepticon Brute/Drone from War for Cybertron game. Vehicon was made from an upscaled Sideswipe KO, modded Dinobot ConstructBots Strafe head, and some movie Hound weapons. He was primered with Bulldog Adhesion promoter and painted using Tamiya/Testors lacquers and neon paint detailing that shows up great under a black light. Vehicon's paint job is metallic black with Mr Hobby premium gloss sealer. For more pics head to his page here: Custom Vehicon, voyager scale

Greetings Transformers Fans! We hope you are safe and well during the pandemic. By now we have all been at home for weeks and are finding all kinds of ways to pass the time. Unfortunately, for a lot of Transformers fans one of their favorite things, collecting, has been impacted the most. To help light our darkest hour, Tformers, The Rejecticons, BigBadToyStore, Stan Bush, and others are hosting a 5 Day special event running April 27th thru May 1st to entertain and engage Transformers fans who for various reasons have been isolated and cannot afford to collect Transformers. "Bad" as in poorly made. Most are. But I think you will find many collectors have some for different reasons. I personally like the mashed up ones where they copy stuff in the wrong way.

I never got the Henkei version, but I really do love the one that came in the TRU 2-pack with the good version of Evasion Mode Prime. I think the chrome bits are really sharp, and he generally just looks like an awesome (and very Japanese) take on Prime. He's the only Classics figure I still display.

I have been collecting since 1984, transformers what the first thing I ever truly collected. I've cut down considerably on what I collect now, but Transformers were my first passion. I had to have every one in that 85 catalogue. I drove all over the place hunting them down, with my best friend. We're still friends, and I still have them all, all complete, 98% 9f them I still have the boxes. I packed them and their accessories in foam rubber to hold and protect them, decades later, they are my favorite thing, after my family. I also have become very adept at repairing them, and other toys. You never have to stop loving anything... unless it's killing you.

So glad they made the trailer compatible with Siege Optimus Prime. Gonna have to get a second prime just to customize the trailer for Siege Prime.

Stryker Wang is at it again, sending out some photos over Twitter of the latest addition to Hasbro's display cases at SDCC. Unsurprisingly, Hasbro has brought the big, one of a kind two of a kind prototypes of the HasLab Unicron in planet and robot modes to show off - and of course to get people excited and signing on for the crowdfunding campaign! These new photos give us a first good look at the back, and the huge stacks of planetary surface panels bundled on the back and behind the legs. Specifically so they don't spend a couple million on molds and other production costs on something that might end up not selling well enough at retail for them to recoup their costs. This way, they either for sure have enough buyers to cover the production costs, or they don't make the item.

Personally I like it, I get that this is not for everyone, but the reactions to it have been a little beyond.. absurd. There's a slew of other fantastic third party Arcee figures out there, if Firebird's rendition isn't something you like or want.. than don't get it?
