I think they will. Most guys who like the show will buy one or the other, so there's not TOO much risk there, but I think that girls would be much more likely to pick up the figure if there's a female variant.

 

ok well I see it like this... 1 collectors only make up what 10%-15% of the market 2 girl fans only make up a small fraction of that 3 the character didn't even get a name and 4 she didn't seem to homage any G1 character in fact I think the only link is an animation error when screamer was looking a bit like a girl.

 

so asking for a new mold with a $20 price tag is just too much and I would much rather see Wasp and Iron Hide get the toy treatment before her... and at least they got names

Guys, as in, males in general. Not just collectors. And the reason for making a female transformer isn't just to please the TINY female fanbase, it's to try to make it bigger.

 

And I have a feeling that FemmeScream will become a regular character after a while.

 

 

Well, regardless, I would like it if they remodeled the nose a little bit to be a bit more feminine. Y'know, make it have a couple of special curves here and there and make it slightly smaller. Slightly narrower shoulder wouldn't be a bad idea, either.

Well considering that they are opening a new season of the show soon, it seems logical that the charachtor will be expanded on. Heck maybee she will get an upgrade of some sort. Heck they even did a slight re-mould on the Movie Screamer mould to make Thundercracker. A femme face would be all that was really necessary.

I've never seen "males in general. Not just collectors" buy a toy just because it was a femme copy of a male character if anything only the more hardcore would go for it

 

as for the toy you would need to change a lot to make the body close to the animation model to the point that only the legs would be unchanged since her shoulders would be so much shorter and if you look at the toy because of his auto transform gimmicks you cant really do anything with that area

 

as for her use in season 3 didn't she get blown to sh*t by Omaga Supreme with all bar the Sky Warp and Thunder Cracker clones? I really think she is as good as dead unless they really really want to bring her back... but why? she didn't add anything to the story and was only ever an inside joke

As for the toy thing, all you would really need to do is angle the back / slightly and you would have a pretty femme stance, heck Screamer ain't exactly manly looking. Take Cyb Override she achieved femininity just by posing her right.

Screamer was only immortal because he had an Allspark fragment buried in his head. But I think that be extension FemmeScreamer is immortal because a "link" between her and the real Screamer isn't out of the question, allowing for the same personality with the same memories and traits to be recloned again and again. Different continuities, I know, but Tarantulas did the same thing with Black Arachnia in Beast Wars.

You mean the first two clones, who blew up ? Weren't they remote controlled ? I mean, no part of Starscream would willingly blow up ...

 

Either way, I like the Voyager Starscream mold a lot ... the bot mode is superb, and the jet mode is acceptable for a cartoon jet !

I think it would be quite possible to give female screamer exactly the feminine bot mode it had in those episodes, and I would buy it ... BUT if it really gets into production it will merely be a cheap repaint (maybe with boobs), but nothing more. Still as masculine as Screamer himself ...

 

On the other Hand I would probably buy all the Starscream Voyager repaints anyways ;D
