why do people who don't watch wrestling assume that people who do believe it to be real?

Because I've met people IRL who try to tell me that it is. (-_-) I know that it's not all pro-wrestling fans, but I have met my fair share of them. I'm personally more of a fan of actual grappling-wrestling, so I felt the need to just clarify that as people who confuse the two just get up my nerve something chronic. But I never meant to imply that you were among them. :) :) :)

the 26-30 crowd is really letting the board down here.. shezzz. lol

It's not our fault you didn't find the fandom until now.

first, it was a joke. the demographics in that range were lagging behing (which have now caught up).

second, i'm not in that demographic. I happen to be 39 and one of the 3 elders. Mind your manners. ;)

third, because all good responces have 3 points, I didn't 'just find' the fandom - i've been around awhile - I just don't always post much. :P

Played Semi-Pro football for 2yrs

Details please!

As I said before it was only 2 years but I played DT and Special Teams. The first year I came on late with the Bellingham Eagles, after my first son was born, who my brother was already playing for. It was fun and interesting. The second year was a blast as I played for the Eastside Hawks, owned by Superbowl Champion Sam Adams and former Seahawk who has ties to the area and former Washington player Nesby Glasgow. My younger brother went on to play for the Renton Ravens.

Both teams are no longer around. Bellingham was done once the Hawks showed up although that played no part for me. Before I knew Bellingham was done it was about distance/time to practice/games (1hr.+ vs. 10min.). Family duties is what really did it in for me but I'm glad I got to play with people I played with. I have nothing but respect for Sam, he fronted a lot of money for his team(s).

Sam/Hawks left the league to step up to the AFL2 (Everett Hawks), which my youngest brother played for and happened to get hurt in both games he played in (a knee for each game). Apperantly from what I've learned the Everett Hawks are now done too.

Here is an article from the first year of the Hawks done by the Seattle Times. It was a fun time.. with what I've learned I'll for sure be passing it onto my sons.
