On Acidstorm ... ~_~

Recommended Posts

I've always considered the yellow one to be Sunstorm, even if the colours are a bit different from Sunstorm's appearance in More Than Meets The Eye Part 1.

I really hope that TakaraTomy will give us Henkei Thundercracker. That'd be awesome. Henkei Thundercracker should also be different from BotCon Thundercracker (I'm sure it would have to be). BotCon Thundercracker's blue is midway between G1 toy/comic Thundercracker's dark blue and G1 cartoon Thundercracker's sky blue (which SCF/HOC and Robot Master Thundercracker had). Henkei Thundercracker's blue should be one of those two - probably the toon-accurate sky blue. :)

Now they need to release that third blue rainmaker - and somehow make it different from Thundercracker. :P :P

Sunstorm as the yellow Rainmaker works.

For the blue Rainamker, they could always give him TT'S MP Starscream's shade of blue, based on the colours of Japanese fighter jets....

Or they could give the blue Rainmaker a blue camouflage scheme....

Thundercracker was a third-tier repaint with almost zero air time.

But I guess Catching Em All > a collection of characters who actually did anything

I don't expect Hasbro (or TT) to release Classics (or Henkei!) Thundercracker.

Now that the Classics line is guaranteed some longevity, however, it would be nice to get a few more Seekers (I admit to being a Seeker whore). Acid Storm rules. If they would give us Sunstorm in addition to Acid Storm I would be quite content.

Actuallu I was thinking the camo blue for Thundercracker's american version. Think it would kick much @$$! ^_^

Botcon Exclusives at retail...not unless you change the mold (Ironhide). Acidstorm will make a fine addition as my Thundercracker repaint, but not as himself. I may buy an extra to do something else with him (Leader-one...hmmm) but while nice, I don't really dig random repaints.

You could sell convention exclusive repaint characters in retail if you made it a different variant from the convention exclusive. For example, Cybertron Excillion was based on a Japanese convention exclusive repaint of Galaxy Force Excillion, but with substantial difference between the two versions. The Japanese convention exclusive one is nicer IMO but the retail Cybertron version is a reasonably close facsimile. They could do something along such lines for a retail Universe/Classics Thundercracker.

that doesn't mean he's not an interesting character. It's not Thundercracker's fault that he was severely underused by G1 writers. If you read this tech specs he is quite an interesting character - being a Decepticon who isn't fully convinced about the Decepticon cause, but has merely sided with the Decepticons out of current convenience. He's completely different from other Decepticons, who are loyal to the Decepticon cause. Even Starscream is loyal to the Decepticon cause - it's just that he disagrees with Megatron on the direction of their cause (i.e.: believing that they should be focusing on deception rather than brute strength).

...brother needs a Spotlight, stat!

A bit late for that, sadly...

:tfsad to Galvatron, Decepticon City Commander

He's always been my favorite! I think that's why I'm rooting for him more than anything to get made. Hmm ... maybe I'll use some of Sami's talents for my Thundercracker starvation. ^_^ I can almost hear her saying "ugh... not another one!" LOL!

Agreed though, brother does deeefiantly need a spotlight ... and some more story devoted to his bio. ^_^

Ummm ... what's wrong with being ghey for Smokes? :tflaugh

i think they almost have to make thundercracker... change the pant scheme and call it "decepticon thundercracker"

keep botcon happy.. but really how much does botcon contribute to hasbro as a whole. i think they could afford the cost of pissing off botcon

I hope we somehow get a Classics Thundercracker. I'm not holding my breath, though.

I wasn't going to get Acid Storm, and still might not, but the more I hear about him and how he is actually a very very very very very very minor character, as well as a homage to Thundercracker sort of, my desire to own him grows ever-so-slightly. :)
