Of course, that particular model isn't remotely the case now, is it?

Seems to me like that was what Smith was implying Hasbro was doing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy they released the Animated series early to some but maybe they could reconsider releasing them to all the states so everyone can enjoy them. Just a thought.

Really, it would make more sense for Hasbro to sell a thousand or so copies of new toys early and on Ebay through HTS or something. If people are so desperate to get their hands on something a month ahead of their neighbour, they may as well be paying the exorbitant price to Hasbro instead of to a scalper.

This way, there's a slight chance that some Cincy fans will be able to get the toys early for normal price, even if the bulk of them will be swept up by scalpers. And doing it during the one time and in the one city where there will be the highest known concentration of Transfans might result in more fans getting hold of the new toys at those same normal shelf prices.

Darn that Hasbro!

i am sure they are gonna push up the street date AFTER botcon

but the rarity of the toys in Cincy will make them sell like hotcakes and boost hasbro sales

That comic fails to take into consideration Sony's manufacturing difficulties. The BD-ROM was a batch to make at first, as well as Cell.

it also fails to remember that the PS2 had similar difficulties with its' CPU, and had as many at launch time in the US as the PS3 did worldwide.

Which, incidentally, goes to show that worldwide launches are STUPID
