if you keeps Starscreaming about "how you don't want robots who are in scale with each other" may want to consider scale-model collecting.

So because I like it when Hasbro attempts to make some effort when it comes to TFers and scale (and thus disagree with you), I should quit collecting TFers? Get over yourself.

I agree. And I think they've done a wicked job so far. The Classics line was a brilliant update to the original G1 line. So far, from the looks of the two Universe figures we've seen, that trend of updated G1 awesomeness seems to be continuing. So I have no doubt Powerglide's figure will be a perfect update.

 

Essentially the entire Classics/Universe line is a giant homage line. Powerglide's size class in no way counteracts the "homage-ness" of the figure.

Gotta say, this thread exposes the epic fail in fans. Powerglide, an A-10 Warthog one of the most deadly planes out there gets a large toy. What do people do? Complain that the BADASS JET gets a large scale toy.. People complain that ALIENS dont look human, then complain that they look too human, then they complain that X is larger than Y IRL then complain that X gets a large toy...

 

Eesh Im sure people become fans just to moan about something other than their own failings..

And no, you don't have to buy everything with a Transformers logo plastered on its packaging just because you're a collector.

The worst thing you could do is buy something that you hate just because it's got the label, because what you're really doing is telling the manufacturer that it'll sell, and that they have to do more like it to continue selling.

I know we're supposed to respect the TCC, but do they share photo rights with Wizard Universe? I found pics of said Sunstreaker on their site! Are they tied in together? I'm not going to post the link here, but anyone can run a Google search for the image, and Wizard Universe is the second one to pop up.

Sorry to throw a wrench in the thread, I just find it's silly to buy something just for the sake of it being a Transformer is all.

 

Never said I hated the concept of Universe I just find it's not necessary when it's just more of A/E/C styled toys. I don't have a problem with it just find something new more exciting. I actually found the quality in design/painting/sculpt better in the Cybertron figs than most of the classics but to each/his her own.

 

I just think it's better not to be a completist just for the sake of being a completist. Classics was decent but not some of them I just couldn't justify buying. (deluxe two pack) and I think I'm better off for it.

 

2.0 may be rediculously awsome and warrant buying I'm just not holding my breath just yet until I see pics/in store
