Sari's Totally a Robot!

Recommended Posts

My guess after today's episode is that

she's a clone or similarly "grown in a test tube."

But definitely organic; there's no reason to believe otherwise.

Aged without growing taller - like she's covered in skin like a Terminator. The growing-older-but-not-taller thing is the number one reason I still don't believe she's entirely organic or, at least, entirely human.

See, that doesn't make sense. Why would, if you rapidly age, get taller? It's not advancing her actually biological age, it's aging her cells, etc, so she ages...

Growing requires energy, this is the loss of energy...

Seriously.

She experiences the effects of adult aging, which is another way of saying "death", because that's what adult aging really is. The Allspark key was killing organics because that's what Blackarachnia was doing with it in the first place. She was attempting to kill her organic half, but the effect spread out to the entire city.

I was trying to describe why she didn't grow bigger. Look, I'm on your side here - saying she isn't. Honestly... :P

I'm on your side too. :) I'm just saying more words.

Cool :thumb

And now back to the awesomeness of UltraMagnus_001__scaled_000.jpg

This is the only way the robot theory could work. Even then it only works, IMO, with the "accident" scenario.

The fact that the Dinobots wowed him says to me he can't knowingly replicate the process that created Sari, assuming she is a robot.

So I concede that if they decide to make her a robot the "she was created by an accident" explanation would work, but that's really the only explanation I would consider viable. Even then it has its own issues, specifically concerning the spark and the concept of being a living machine.

I don't mean "accident" specifically. I meant, like, "the parts to make her are really rare" - although accident works, too. But it doesn't have to be an accident to be unrepeatable. There's a thousand ways it could be unrepeatable and purposeful at the same time.

We have to keep in mind this is primarily a show aimed at children. I don't think Sari popping out of her Halloween custom and going through puberty in eight seconds would have been considered "kid friendly."

I interpret the the ageing without growing thing as a simple cheat by the creative team to get the point across that the AllSpark can age organic life without having to risk the "C8/G" rating.

It's animation, they could've cheated her growth without getting into puberty and stuffs.

She seems just as intelligent/alive as human beings though. The only machines in the TF:A universe capable reaching human levels of self-awareness are Cybertronians

(and soon machines from Earth infused with the energy of the Cybertronic AllSpark)

.

So even a robot with a very advanced A.I. would seem to pale in comparison to what we see in Sari.

In short, assuming she's a robot, she acts just as alive as the Autobots and Decepticons, only without a spark. Which is impossible, especially considering all of Sumdac's creations use Cybertronian tech.

You can't discredit the theory by imposing limits on what "A.I." means because A.I. can be as advanced as they want it to be in the context of the show - they can even have different levels of A.I. ability in different machines if they want.

Dude, the Allspark key was not making Sari (or anything else) mature. It was making it die. The trees all turned brown -- you saw it.

You are confusing maturity/growth with aging, and forgetting that once you get to adulthood, your body slowly begins to die.

Hey, Agent Zero used the word "age" first. I'm just addressing his post.

Well maybe we should all clarify our terminology a bit. "Aging" means two very different things, depending upon if you're talking about a fully-grown organism, or a younger, not-yet-fully-grown version of it.

If you mean something that's already fully-grown, "aging" is a slow process of dying. If you mean something that isn't fully grown yet, "aging" just means "maturing / growing."

Clearly Sari was not maturing or growing as a result of the Allspark key energy; that much is indisputable. And that is in complete congruence with what the key was doing -- killing organics. Not "growing them up". Therefore, there is nothing about that incident that provides any evidence that Sari is inorganic.
