Recommended Posts

Hands down the best Powermaster of them all. the only other prime I can think of that i like more is MP Prime.

To be fair, Overlord is the best Powermaster of them all.

It is definetely an awesome figure!

I own the US reissue with chrome and slidable hands and aside from a few minor quibbles (blue lower arms?) it rocks!

I think it is the best Prime (MP Prime excluded as that is more a display piece than an actual toy) that was ever made.

In Toys'R'Us in the UK they had the Ginrai for £40, they had a half price sale, and my mom recieved a half price on all Transformers voucher, I got him for £10! That MONSTER for £10 or in $20 ish.

can somepost a pic of the unused godbomer? i know they changed him before releasing him.

I don't really get it..I have both the PMOP and the God Ginrai with Apex armor--which is the better figure, I think..More detail, chrome, metal, etc..But, over all..Both still kind of suck. I always hear people saying how it's the bestest of Primes etc..But..I just don't get the love for that figure. He was one of my last purchases just because I didn't really care for/want him. What exactly is the love for this version of Prime? He has no ability to pose. Almost no articulation, a large head..He is indeed a brick. Where's the fun in that?

My love for PM Prime is all nostalgia - he just looked cool and I didn't really care about the poseability at the time.

And I had lost my original G1 Prime. So yeah....

Where's the fun in that?

Ask 6 year old me.

God Ginrai does look better than PMOP, of course as Goki said PMOP w/AA is essentially a God Ginrai reissue. The old US version of PMOP has not been reissued.

If you didn't buy it in 1988, you probably won't understand. PM Prime was:

1) the first genuine attempt at a show-accurate figure

2) the first Super Prime, which was OMG awesome in itself

3) a great consolation prize for the TV show being cancelled

and the reissue is like a million times cooler

but it's all old-school luv
