Thanks for the compliments! I almmost tried hollowing out the barrel but realized that past the cannon-tip I glued on is hollow. I'd be left with a very, very thin piece of plastic and not much surface area to hold the cannon-tip on if I did that. Next time I'll use a hollow tube of styrene and have him launch somethiung outta it.

 

All the toy/fan art I saw with WP had yellow eyes tho. Only blue eyes I found were on other people's customs which made me scratch my head as to why. I gave him the blue camera eye tho, hah!

There's only really two reasons

 

1) it was thecolour in the toon

 

2) it looks better

Little heads up Jin: You've got Warpath using the misassembled feet of Megatron as well. His feet are on the wrong legs: as such, those are actually his HEELSPURS, and the reason they stick out like that. Properly, the feet rotate "over" back onto the tank.

Thanks for the tip, this was actually brought to my attention on the UK TF board a few days ago. I left them like this however because I needed the wider foot in front to appear more like the tread housing the G1 figure had. It's kinda weird too because if you fix the foot the right way you can see the flat heel sticking out from the side at the back, like it's off-centered. Dunno why but the foot looks odd in either mode.

It really does. But since your toy doesn't have issues with "new" turret turning, I guess it's all aeshetic for you. Carry on.

 

Also: I only think blue eyes work better for this because the orange gets lost in the sea of rust red.

Warpath is incredible, though he does feel more like movie aesthetic than Classics. I guess that's what weathering and a movie head does. But seriously, that this is just awesome. Although I kinda feel like he'll eat my soul, for some reason.

I think I'll offer to paint the eyes blue if the winner wishes it. The eyes glow a nice yellow if you have him under a light source but yeah, the dark orange kinda gets lost. All the art/pics of his character showed him with glowing yellow eyes tho, didn't see the blue until someone showed me an animated clip. That's the only place I found him with blue eyes so far.
