again, i'll worry about when the movie comes out, i'm not a fan of Bay what-so-ever. i'll be happy no matter what as long as there is a movie.

You know there is a big pinned thread at the top of the page for this.

*reads news* nOW I'm mad! :grr

It doesn't sound as bad as it reads in my opinion.

The concept isn't alien to Transformers and isn't likely to change that much.

If by bio mechanical they mean the way alot of the old Marvel transformers look like it might not be too bad..

I didn't think it was intentional for the Marvel comic Transformers to look part biological...I figured the artists didn't know how the hell to draw a proper robot.

To be honest, I didn't even think the article was reffering to how they look as it was mentioned in relation to making it all sound scientifically plausible.

And if you make them biomechanical at their core, it explains emotions and little things such as why warriors have circuitry that allows them to feel pain.

Also, as G1 very clearly shows, when they're just robots, death is not what it is to humans and 'noble' sacrifices lose a lot of meaning from a human persepctive.

The perfect example being Prime who sacrificed himself so often it became a running joke.

It's not the only way to handle all that, nor is it neccessarily the best, but it is the easiest to sell in a 2 hour film.

And I liked that look personally, but again, it wasn't the appearances I was reffering too.

The way they handled the Head/Target/Powermasters, and certain Pretender shells, they were constantly plaaying with biomechannical Transformers to the point where the powermaster process was turning both the organic Hi-Q and the mechanical Prime into one being, which is pretty much as biomechanical as it gets.

They can try to pull some crap about metal skin for all I care as long as its cool.

I sense another Beast Machines.  :schin

Actually biomechanical makes a lot more sence then just having them as space alien robots. Though I'm sure all the components will be mechanical/cybernetic I can see this playing out similar to how the Transformers were dipicted in the Marvel G2 run.

So far IMO this isn't entirely a bad thing. :thumb

As a long time wanting to something altogether new and different I think Micheal and Spielberg should do what's realistically plausible and ignore the fanboys for this time around.

As long as Murphy/Bay don't cast Hal Berry as Arcee it's all good.
