The legs are totally kickin. Wonder if they'll give him Figueroa teeth or not. Don't all the Alternators so far have faces?

 

I agree that I would have expected Wheeljack to be a Mustang - especially considering how often my Mustang was in the shop - but overall I think Grimlock is going to be cool. Maybe they didn't have any plans to release a big truck soon; are trucks popular in Japan?

 

It does look like he has a sword, too, which would be totally keen.

 

I just wish they'd release these things more quickly. :)

Whats wrong with the way Grimlock looks? I think he looks very cool in his new body instead of the old outdated Dinosaur look. I'll be picking him up once he comes out thats for sure.

Although i was suprised hes being released as Grimlock, i dont mind, i think he looks damn cool and will defintely be picking him up, but i can understand where people might be disappointed thats hes a sports car and not perhaps a truck or an suv. Oh well, as long as they look cool ill continue to buy em.

....guess not. But looking at him as a mustang, I don't feel dissapointed at all. This ones a definate must buy. I mean, HE'S GOT A FRIGGEN' SWORD!

A car as an alt mode IS a little wierd, but hey at least Mustang says Badass, so if Grimmy is a car this makes the most sense.

I think the toy looks awesome. It may not have been the car Grimlock would have chosen for himself, but think about it: If he got destroyed and some humans rebuilt him... he wakes up and he's a mustang?

That's ripe with character conflict and stuff. Makes me want an Alternators cartoon.

 

Anyway, I think it would have been genius to dispense with the humanoid robot mode for Grimlock and have the car turn into a T-rex. Then he could've been a fricking Pinto and it would've worked.

 

But I like this toy. Besides, we're getting that sweeeet Energon Grimlock, so no big deal.
