Alternators Jets

Recommended Posts

Especially now that they're making Grimlock an Alternator, I highly, highly doubt that you'd see any non-car alt modes in this line.

Remember, the Alternators/Binaltech line isn't supposed to be super-cool versions of old Transformers -- it's supposed to be super-cool CAR versions of old Transformers.

I don't think anyone here would NOT want to see Decepticon Jets given the Alternator treatment. But that's a different issue. So if I were you, I'd be thinking of what kind of car you would like to see Starscream as. (The suggestion I like the most so far is an F1 racer.)

na no bloomin altinator seekers it just wouldnt work in my eyes unless you made the THRUST SSC into the seekers you know the car that broke the sound barrier but i agree if you were to make jets in scale they would be 3 times longer than the cars 69 foot long F-16 versus 12 foot long cars!!

there were quite a few decepticon cars

the stunticons, runamuk and runabout so you have like 6 more names to use befor they dip into the lesser know stuff

as for the bt story. well star scream stole the planes for a new BT to make dead end so they say that the decepticions have the BT tech needed to make new stuff of thier own

The Alternator line is just car replacas. Plus I think that Hasbro and Takara has a argreement with the car companines to only make real cars. What I think they shoud do is make another line of war toys where they could make Starscream and make Decepticons that are closer to their origanal concepts.

Then they could make a subline of concept cars / future cars in things like "I Robot" and "Minority Report" for the movie characters, Kup, Blurr, and Hotrod :D

In all thruth and honesty though, I don't expect anything other than modern day cars out of Alternators. And other than minor nitpicks, I have nothing to complain about any of the molds these guys have.

Jet alternators would be the best! I for one put my vote in...

you know i've been back and forth on this subject and here's what i learned;

altinators are about scale, a consistant one.

next the jets at the same consistant scale as the cars would be too big which equals too expensive.

guess what dude, no planes.

Let me get this straight.... you guys are willing to shell out a butt-load of money for dorky looking Unicron (a planet that's flat on one side) and an equally dorky looking new Energon Omega Supreme (oh look, I'm a spaceship... I mean battleship, and a train-thing, and a construction-whatchamacallit)......... but wouldn't buy a 1/24 scale Alternator-quality jet?

Of course we'd buy them, but we have to live in reality. It isn't going to happen.

yep you got it right; dorky looking unicron and energon omega supreme over altinator jets.

but you know what makes omega and unicron seem sort of dorky.....lack of detail.

the detail work on a possible 1/24 scale seeker would put the price of the toy over 60 bucks easly. the size would make it expensive yes but the detail work of adding the opening cockpit with all the trimmings, the engine hatches, the weapons would put the cost over the edge. to make the jet exactly like the real thing and still transform and have good articulation would make a toy that would be far more expensive than a unicron or omega or even a good figure like mp prime.

yeah I'd buy ONE but Hasbro is not going to take a risk of making such an expensive toy just for only me or a few fans.

get over it.....

we've been through this before........jets are not going to happen.

altinators are about promoting newest, latest, and greatest of the automobile industry........

PERIOD.

It would be cool, but the alty line is all about the cars.
