i'm not saying bring back alternators (as much as i'd love it) i'm just saying i don't want the same characters in product line after product line after line after line after line after line....... g1 made it 8 years befor they started using the same charaters over again... maybe that had something to do with what killeed them but i like the concert variety of g1. headmasters, gestalts, clones, cassettes, jumpstarters, triplechangers... all i'm saying is if the figure has had a decent homage in the last 5 years skip it in favor of something more obscure like classics wingspan and pounce...

I see what you are saying but Classics is all about bringing your favorite G1 guys into modern times. Every other line was mostly just homage, this line is recreation. The real Geewun Redux far beyond what Alternators was trying to do. I just dont care what's out before now. These are good damn near spot on remakes that are very awesome and I want them to make just about everyone in the first 2 years of Transformers.

 

Just to correct some things, it didn't take them 8 years to make PowerMaster Optimus and the Pretender classic bots.....or Action Masters for that matter.

Insecticons... those guys were pretty well done already.

Same thing w/ Shockwave, although I think someone already mentioned this.

Personally, I disagree. Just because the original was good doesn't mean it can't be updated. Not to mention that being able to get a Shockwave that's slightly modernized yet true to the original (as opposed to a homage, however well done), more to scale, and available to purchase in stores at a reasonable price makes for a tempting offer. Same goes for the Insecticons (all seven).

 

Having said that, then yeah, I can't think of any characters I wouldn't want to see "classicized."
