I think the actual blue (in hand) is alot different then the blue you use here. You should check out the full combined Power Convoy pics and go off that blue. Because honestly, a big fan imo would probably want the same blue as the original. Its a darker blue EVEN then the way it came out in the blue optimus pic. ;)

 

Does your client have a Powered Convoy City Commander set? If, go with the blue used there. Its the same as the city commander. Heres a link http://www.fansproject.com/?page_id=31

Unfortunately that set was only a one shot by one of the guys at fansproject so he's the only person who has that set. They say they don't plan on making it but I'm sure they will eventually.

Oh, he'll be the actual blue, the photoshopped image is just a blue overlay, just putting the colors in etc, I'd definitely go a darker blue.

You do very nice work Sami. I love how the paint lays down so flat with your customs. Cant see any smudges or layers uneven. Were you into painting before you were into Transfomers? Or did you just come naturally?

Honestly I just took an Alt Skids and decided I wanted to paint him..Kinda just started from there. I've done radom art courses, air brushing, painting etc, so I had some basic knowledge to it, but, just never on a three dimensional object before.

2nd thanks and/or acknowledgement goes to Wheel_Jack on Sector7.org, I found while googling, his sticker lay out he made for his Energon Wheeljack, and I was then able to take his apart, match high resolution versions of the various logos etc to then work with my Classics Wheeljack, and I think he now looks spiffy!

 

The car/alt mode is just about done. I think I still want to add something to the blank space above the back wheel..More green perhaps. And I just need to add some dark grey to the bot mode, and he'll be done. Oh, not shown yet, but, the missle launchers from TFTM07 works/fits PERFECTLY for this mold too, so, Wheeljack will also have his shoulder rocket. Only decision now is, 1, like the cartoon, or 2 of them like the toy had...

That looks fantastic. My only qualm with it is that the stripes don't line up from the hood to the roof aside from that it's perfect.

Yea I was thinking of that..Not sure if I want to leave it, or change it yet. We shall see.

I was thinking about doing the same custom so I spent some time googling and I think the colors depend on which version of powered convoy you have. I think the original is dark blue but the reissues look like they are black. I'm all for the black legs though.

 

And your wheeljack looks great. Wheeljack just isn't Wheeljack without all his stickers and you've captured his essence.
