Here's the Astrotrain Alt I've been working on...I painted the stripes originally, and they came out PERFECT..but then the grey I used on the body went awful...humidity made the paint all bubble up and go spider veiny, so, I stripped it off, and went with a enamel srpay, that was a much better color, and the paint itself went on BEAUTIFULLY. Nice metallic dark grey shine, smooth, even coating. I think I'm an enamel converter..Anyways, here's the current and concept versions of where he'll be later..

 

Does anyone know how well Krylon and enamel work together..I need to redo the stripes, but that purple is Krylon..?

the few atempts i've made using Krylon and enamel (mostly testors) went very well.

 

Looks awesome, Cant wait to see the stripes!

 

And that head... well, looks like I'm running out of choices since the guys I knew had customs for sale simply give me no answer.

Hi Sami, top work mate, just wondering if you could tell me what you used for the MP Op into Nemesis Prime repaint, I'm doing one myself and any advice on the paint would be awesome!

I just used Krlyon, hammered black finish or just flat black. Good luck. Watch out for the inside of his boots..little pieces in there, and one screw always seems to be kinda stripped.

Just read though the first page I remember you at the other site I never knew you were banned. I just assumed you moved on to something else. Sorry to hear about that and yes I know they do things their own way. Glad to see you are still in the hobby and doing great customs. Keep up the great work!

Another Botcon Seeker set, and another Ratchet..I've started making my own stickers as well for them.

 

A new/next version of Alt Rumble/Frenzy and another of Ratchet with custom head by Sculptbot.

 

And my next one will be a Classics Wheeljack with a Sunstreaker body, and a BigDaddy head. I'll make some custom stickers for him as well to match the Gen-1 stuff.

Thanks, hopefully he comes out looking something like that. I thought I was being original, at least with the head, but turns out a few more people thought of this as well. Ah well. We'll see how it goes.

Its been awhile since weve seen an update, so cool to know your still in the biz. I think your Alternators Astrotrain is awesomeness! You still collecting much as before?

Classics Wheeljack WIP, the TFTM Big Daddy head was a perfect fit for this mold, and he can make for a really doable Wheeljack. I was originally going to use colored electrical tape for the decals, but, not sure how well that'll work, so, may have to go back to painting. We'll see.
