Bay Mad At HD-DVD Decision, No Transformers 2?

in what respect do you fancy yourself a prime collector?

i must not be on here often enough....

I guess not.

my point being, you could probably put a couple of homely hobos through extreme makeover yourself, and you would misquote me

I wasn't suggesting you save the world rather than have Hi-def, but in terms of the average amount of time/money most people put in to their a/v set up I think I am closer to average with my 36 ' 720p? than you are buying the same movie in three damn formats. As for my "misquote" I mearly quoted the two points I was responding to. I appologize if that was unclear.

well, i am a transformers fan and collector of some sorts, the fact that this is a transformers movie might have something to do with it. thank you for clarifying. i offer a peace treaty with no specific terms?

780i?!

or is that a model number and I'm just dense?

i couldn't help but chuckle at the 36 foot screen, it's understandable though

yeah... I gotta start proof reading my posts.

Hmmm... Don't like bluray... Don't like Bay....

WIN! :thumb

PRECISELY! There are plenty of other directors who can blow crap up, Bay can and should be replaced. If he acts like a child pull him, who cares? Damn premadonna. Get over yourself.

"I do not, for one, believe that the problem was that the band was down. I believe the problem may have been that there was a Stonehenge monument on the stage that was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf. Alright? That tended to understate the hugeness of the object."

:roll
I want people to see my movies in the best formats possible. For them to deny people who have Blu-ray sucks! They were progressive by having two formats. No Transformers 2 for me!

Bay

BTW all i read here is "waaaaaaaaa"

I don't get how you can think that. It's not like Bay can't afford an HD DVD player. He's pissed for all the people with Blu-Ray players who are going to be SOL just because Paramount decided to drop support for it (choosing to hedge their bets financially rather than to be "progressive" and set an example). I would be pissed about that too.

Do you really thank Bay is really upset for the poor, poor little Blu-ray owners?

Bay is only pissed because not offering this movie on Blu Ray hurts his royalty payments probably. Besides, I wouldn't mind seeing a different director for TF2. Bay established it, now we need a director that can bring a lot more to the table than just blowing Blot up.

As of right now, I don't care about the format war. I'll care when there's a clear winner. Regular DVD is just fine for me and for many other consumers.

The site has exploded. I will grab the link the next time is it up. Sorry, that was a brain fart.

Also, masterminicon, the title is very misleading and I have changed it. It's just in the next-gen format war, Paramount picked HD-DVD over Blu-Ray or being a neutral party. More discussion on that here.

EDIT: I've added the link. See first post.

Ahh. Thanks for that info bwbm. That puts me at ease. And EM, I agree with you on your last statement. When there's a clear winner, I'll make the appropriate change. Until then, it's regular DVDs for me.

I suspect Bay gets back end money on the DVD sales. Paramount go money to go HD-DVD only, but bay doesn't get any of that, so in effect paramount is screwing him out of possibly millions of dollars. I can see why he'd be pissed and it's not like a format war is good for consumers either, so he's probably feeling pretty righteous as it is.

You know, bottom line, Michael Bay seems to be quite unstable after all of this.

Or:

He was really tired and a bit drunk when he made the post in the first place.
