Does anyone really believe this? The only reason two (and probably three) seekers are being made is because all they require is minimal retooling and a fresh coat of paint. Engineering 3-5 new Dinobot molds would dominate the MP line for years to come.

3 foot tall MP fort max .... the end all ultimate fanboy toy just imaging it is giving me goose bumps.

we can dream cant we lol

Drrroooolllll

Of course to be in scale it'd have to be... soemthing like 14 feet tall to be in anything like appropriate scale. That's based on a rough off-the-cuff estimate of Fort Max being about 14-15 WST Prime's tall(and WST to G1 Max is the closest to correct scale we have), MP Prime about just under 10 inches.

Masterpiece Dinobots would be very popular. Takara/Tomy should start with Grimlock and then go from there; perhaps releasing a G2 version as well. Then they could release MP Thundercracker, requiring zero work, and then another MP toy, and then maybe another Dinobot.

I don't think a Masterpiece Shockwave would need an orange barrel plug. Megatron needed one 'cause he looked like a realistic pistol; Shockwave is a big purple space blaster, a la Star Wars (yeah, I know the newer Star Wars blasters are blue and orange and whatnot, but maybe Shockwave could dodge that bullet).

If multiple uses of a mold is what's important to TakaraTomy, the next Masterpiece would be Ironhide/Ratchet or Sideswipe/Sunstreaker.

The more I think about it the more MP Grimlock makes sense. He's not a weapon look alike/replica that can't be sold out of Japan without mods, and he's not a repaint that may not be wanted. Not to mention Grimlock has great market potential here in North America and the UK. Every other MP seems to have sold well, except for GreenScream that sold but a little slowly, so why not make a MP Grimlock?

"A repaint that may not be wanted?" You must be referring to Ultra Magnus, because whenever a new G1-related Starscream is released the fanbase goes crazy and demands a complete set of Seekers. Did you forget how much people bitched when the 2007 Botcon set was announced?

Starscream and Skywarp down, Thundercracker to go. All they'd need is new heads and wings for the coneheads.

If the sales are good, more than likely will more dino's be made.

I don't think the rest of the Dinobots are popular enough to warrant making MPs of them all. Shoot, they barely make anyone but Grimlock at the $10 price point any more.

I could easily see Swoop as a second Dinobot figure. His bot mode would be smaller so he'd be cheaper to make like the Seekers. He's another air based figure which is always popular, and he was pretty popular on the cartoon, got a lot of on-screen time with Spike in that one episode. Not to mention the original G1 figure is one of the most sought after and he never got the G2 treatment.

But this isn't a Dinobot line, I doubt they plan on overlapping the squads unless they're repaints.

i dont thiers just not as much demand for them and as you stated the seekers are just being made to cash in on the single design
