He reminds me of Tigerhawk with his wing-like armor.

I was thinking the same thing. He's like bendy prime with Tigerhawk hanging off his back

The Optimus spotlight was pretty neat, and it featured the first gestalt. Along with Galvatron, it feels more like an interlude between escalation and devastation than a stand alone story. I wonder if that's the direction the spotlights will take from now on?

that's kinda what they've all been. Shockwave was kinda a prequel of Stormbringer and an interlude to his eventual return. Nightbeat was an interlude to Galvatron, which is an interlude to Revelations. Hot Rod was an interlude to future plot developments involving Banzaitron, Double Dealer, and the Magnificence. Six Shot was an interlude to future developments with him and the Reapers in Devastation. Magnus I believe hints that Scorponok is the talking head at the Machination. Kup we'll hopefully see what happens to him in the future. Soundwave was again connected to Stormbringer and will most likely appear in the future. The Spotlights are intended to focus on specific characters, expand upon this new continuity, and plant seeds for future storylines. Very few of them, if any, have any closure at the end of the story.

Chalk up another one in the win department for IDW.

Spotlight Optimus Prime was an interesting read. Art was very nice, Don is almost as good as E.J, Nick and the Italian Stallion: Guildo

almost :P, he just needs to hone his weight and motion panels.

Bring on Devastation and Ramjet plz

I think I liked them more when they were setting up storylines (like Kup or Hot Rod) than when they fit between storylines like Op and Galvatron. If for no other reason than the way the TPB collects them.

meh, good stories regardless. Whether they set up future storylines or fit in between existing storylines, it's nice to see what else is going on in their universe with characters we haven't seen yet

According to Graham cracker's website, they're getting the Megatron: origin TPB this week :wtf

No no no, that's the "we didn't push it back 3 months" report

What makes me :wtf most is that I do know that IDW put out the movie adapt TPB before the 4th issue by at least a week.
