Putting all personal feelings aside, I think the Simpsons movie will be bigger. will also admit, even though I am a G1 purist and do not like Michael Bay or the new Transformer movie, I did see it twice w/ friends b/c I know it will be good for the Transformers name and line & I do wish it great success, and hope Michael Bay takes a different direction w/ the sequels and gives more of a nod to G1 designs, concepts & storylines a try. That said, I still think Simpsons will blow away Transformers at the Box Office. I'm sorry, but I think Simpsons has a much larger fan-base than our beloved Transformers. :tfsad

I absolutely love the Transformers movie, but I agree - Simpsons will do better because it has a much larger fan base and also much wider appeal.

In France and Belgium, the both movies will be out at the same time.

Realistically, I think the Simpsons will fare better, but then again, can it really be considered a summer blockbuster in the same way the Transformers is.

And Galvatron1. If you're a G1 purist, I feel sorry for you cause you'll never see what you want on the big screen. The closest you'll get is the way Prime looks and how similar it is to his G1 design while looking different at the same time. The storylines from G1 were okay at best, but not movie worthy...sorry.

They have a set plan for the sequel already. We see Prime pull a piece of the Allspark out of Megatron's chest, so I have a feeling that'll play some role in the sequel. We also saw Screamer fly away from Earth, probably to go and find more Decepticons.

Expect more movie-esque designs.

Though I think the Simpsons will do better, the one thing TFs has over it is that there is not a live action TF show on TV, 7 days a week for free.

I couldn't bring myself to pay for the Simpsons. I see them for free every day. Plus with the recent decline in episode quality and the general unfunniness of the trailers a fair few have been turned off the Simpsons movie. Still, it will be interesting to see how well it does.

Simpsons is going to do huge...on home video. I predict its theatrical take will be less than great. The previews lack any genuine humor and the show, which has been free to see for the last 17 years, hasn't been good in a long time.

I want so much to want to see this movie...but I really could care less about it.

EDIT: And after having posted that, I clicked "Simpsons" on the poll accidentally. Everyone move one vote to Transformers when you look at the results. :07redface

I hope the Simpsons do well, but looking at the sheer numbers TF's are making, I'd suprised if the Simpsons will top that.

The simpsons does have a bigger fan base, but Transformers appealed to a vast audience of different tastes. Alot of people view the simpsons as a crass cartoon or don't watch it and think it's just for kids. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the Simpsons, but what Dreamworks and ILM brought with transformers was something no one ever had seen in live action before. That's why transformers continues to do well. The Simpsons may not get the same "multiple view" treatment that Transformers receives since it is a comedy. Just my 2 cents.

Who cares. I want to see both of them.
