I'd not mind interaction while in vehicle mode as long as it was during "drive" time. If they were sitting still it would feel like a money saving tactic.

There's actually a scene like that in the movie.

When Starscream first attacks everyone in the city, Bumblebee, Rachet and Ironhide transform to robots and start doing stuff; however, after all of the explosions, they cut to everyone lying in the street and Jazz is just sitting there in the middle of the street as a car.

yeah i know :tflaugh

Everyone's always like "hey those hackers were useless", which makes me wonder if anyone was paying attention (or if they just wanted to get back to the giant robot scenes). Anthony Anderson's character is the one who was able to re-establish communication between the Secretary of Defense and the US military, in order to coordinate an attack on the Decepticons. And he wouldn't have been there if not for Hot Australian Hacker Woman.

I didn't like the hackers either. And I have to say, Hot Australian Hacker Woman was too hot. It made her not-believable as a hacker. Plus she seemed kinda arrogant about her abilities which annoyed me further.

Yeah wtf is up with that? :07laugh

And Hot Hacker Female was courageous, she could have gone to jail for the rest of her LOYFE

Yeah Jazz sitting in the street was a little odd at first. It's possible that he was knocked offline for a moment until Sam told him to move back though...

Well, when I watched the movie those parts just did not interest me one bit, I wanted the movie go back to Sam's story. The things that they didn't do outweighs the things they did do. I'll give them credit that they got the jets to aid the final battle.... BUT I just thought the hackers was a waste of screen time. I mean notice all the other screen time they had, they were just.... IDK useless.

It seems there role was to repeat things we already know. Like that the Decepticons were trying to find a person named Sam or about Sector 7. I mean, I already saw the Decepticons trying to find the glasses. Their role was kind of redundant in the whole storytelling of this movie.

Some of the fights were to close up I just saw a bunch of gears on the screen and was waiting to see the next scene to see what was actually happening.

I didn't like them because I felt like that portion of the plot could've been advanced without the introduction/development of those two characters. It's not that they were useless because they did what you described; the plot would've been fine w/o their presence.
