Transformers over the 250 million mark

Recommended Posts

I read a few hours back that Transformers made and passed the $250,000,000 mark and before Harry Potter is released too.

I hope the robots can beat the stupid boy wizard on the big screen.

Transformers is around $260 million worldwide.

Harry Potter will knock Transformers to a distant second spot this coming weekend.

oh.. i thought u meant $250 mil DOMESTIC. thats still great news, though.

yeah, potter gonna kick ass. go see it one more time, people!

Yeah, but think about it. Most people are going to go see Harry Potter once. It MAY beat Transformers. There's a chance it won't. Don't forget, Transformers beat out SM3 I believe, which in turn beat POTC3 even though POTC3 came out after SM3.

I won't be surprised if it does. But if it doesn't, I'll be a happy camper (though I do like HP, I like TF more). Besides, with the weather the way it is in my area, people are flocking to the theaters. And a lot of my co-workers this week have gone to see TF or are planning to do so this weekend. So in my area, it's going to be a toss up this weekend between HP and TF. We'll see when the weekend box office sales are announced.

Good for Transformers. :clap

I've seen it twice now. First repeat viewing since Black Hawk Down.

That said I'm good until whenever the dvd hits.

I'll be seeing Harry Potter probably tomorrow.

Hopefully it'll be a bit more coherent/enjoyable then the last two.

if that ones sold out I still have yet to see Pixars Rat movie. As much as I enjoyed Transformers there is no doubt in my mind this is an overall better flick.

Coming second to Harry Potter is no shame. ;)

For a twenty year old property

I would not be surprised if Transformers had a surge back to #1 before it's all over...with Harry Potter, the summer movie craze will pretty much be done.

*doesn't go see Harry Potter* :wave

I'd like to see Transformers again as well.

As far as Harry Potter goes, to hell with Harry Potter. The movies are kind of nice, but they belong to that generation of kids who've been reading the books since they started.

Don't go and see Ratatouille. It's not a very good movie. And this is coming from a guy who actually doesn't mind most Disney films (you take little siblings you develop a mild liking for them).

As for coming in second to HP, yes, there is shame.

I agree with DarkNarco. I wouldn't be surprised if it does have another surge as number 1 before the summer's over and then it'll have beaten Harry Potter. Of course, I have a few co-workers that won't be happy with that. But I'll be happy.

I'm seeing it for a third time tomorrow. And then two more times after that. Once either at the end of the month or at the beginning of August. And then for a fifth time near the end of August. And by then it'll only be about a month and a half to two months before the movie's released on DVD. But between that time and my fifth viewing, I may go and see it again :07dance (I really like the movie)
