i have seen Transformers twice, and will probably go a third time, but I'm a harry potter fan boy too. I just went to the midnight showing last night and will probably go again before it leaves the theaters... Best HP movie yet, BTW.

I'm sure Harry Potter will knock Transformers off the #1 spot. That is to be expected when a new big budget blockbuster is released. Although i'm willing to bet that Transformers will outgross it overall.

I read a few hours back that Transformers made and passed the $250,000,000 mark and before Harry Potter is released too.

I hope the robots can beat the stupid boy wizard on the big screen.

I forgot to mention in the first post that it's for both domestic and world wide

So do I but there are tons of geeks who love Harry Potter, and I mean tons. I passed by the Theater last night and the line was long there were many Nerds all dressed up like fools like they were going to Hogwarts or whatever they call It. :tflaugh

Pffft! There's a LOT more of us TF geeks out there! :07evil

(although I can't say much against HP because my fiancee is one of those Harry potter geeks :redface )

Harry Potter made $44 million on Wednesday, it's first day of release. That's twice as much as what Transformers did on it's first full day.

thats because they kept changing the opening date. im sure if they would have left it on the 4th slot like they were going to do, it would have made more.
