2008 Camaro Bumblebee...

Recommended Posts

the east coast just hasn't seen them yet... I'm hoping we will get a lion's share about 2 weeks into August.

I'm just wondering if there've been any sightings in the Western New York area, namely Rochester.

That'd be great. I've got some friends of mine on the hunt and if any of them see him, they're to inform me and I'll pay them back...*thinks for a moment* I've got some good friends.

But in reality, I really want this figure for myself. Maybe two since the vehicle mode is also nice. I also want Arcee so that should she be in the sequel, I already have her and will mean less money required for the sequel cast additions considering there's a good chance that the current cast members (even if they're characters have scarce appearance sans Prime and BB) will NOT update their alternate modes.

Found Bumblebee & Arcee today at the local Walmart. In addition they had Bonecrusher, Swindle, & Dreadwing. One of each so it was a good day to stop by. In addition to all the others I had to painfully pass on both voyager Ironhide, & Starscream. Another day I guess. Coming off of holidays this week I don't get payed until the week after next. Danmit. :grr

On the plus side I finally have 09 Bumblebee which is indeed a marvel to behold. The engineering/complexity puts Ultimate Bumblebee to shame. Alt mode is convincing but with as many automorph features & sliding panels/pieces as it has it doesn't hold together as nicely as the 76. An odd thing though is the ball jointed waist that allows the upper half to swivel at an angle. Not sure what it does for posing Bumblebee. Ball joint is fairly tight but can be popped out giving Bumblebee the disembodied look of his lower half blown off. Now if only I had that tow truck to drag him behind. :tflaugh Love the detachable arm canon, very cool.

Arcee is neat though her weapon can't really be posed very well. Transformation is very similar to that of Energon Arcee only more detailed, more articulation.

If they're actually showing up here they should be shipping elsewhere in larger numbers. Walmart only had only one Ironhide/Starscream so I'm hoping they restock if those go in the next week or so.

I could have done without this joint as mine's super-loose. I'll have to do the old clear nail-polish trick.

I still think Ultimate Bumblebee's legs look a bit better, if they had passed on the lower-leg automorph I think they could have given the deluxe legs which would have made him perfect.

Before I headed to work I checked out all the Targets and Wal-Marts in my area (North San Diego County). At 11AM, the Targets still weren't finished restocking, so I don't know about them, but absolutely nothing I wanted was to be found at Wal-Mart. Funnily enough, at one store the wall wasn't empty, but I guess one of the employees tried to make it look full and put one Wreckage on each hook, making it a wall of Wreckage. Too bad that was the very first movie figure I bought, or else I'd be rejoicing.

You guys should hold your breath on seeing Bumblebees more prevalent anytime soon; I was at Comic-Con this whole weekend, and even the Hasbro booth didn't have any of them available for sale. They had Voyager Prime and Megatron, and the 74 Camaro BB, but no 09. I asked them about it, while I was buying my Alternators Rodimus, and apparently they didn't even have enough to sell at Comic-Con.

Meanwhile, at the dealer booths, the 08 BB was available, but going for $45. :redface

That's pretty lame on Hasbros part. poor planning indeed! :redface :tdown :tdown :tdown

FWIW I will only be buying one when I do find him, so other fans don't get raped by people like this.

As someone still on the hunt for mine, I thank you. There's never an excuse for scalping or hording. All hording is for is delayed scalping.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE!!! Hoarders and scalpers are bad. :tdown

South Carolina is just getting the robot replicas at Walmart. Does this mean Bumblebee will soon follow, or did the relatively small amounts of BB dissapear as soon as it was put out???

If people are having hard time looking for BB, just get it on ebay. People might be against ebay but it sure beats spending all your time and gas on searching for one. I got mines on ebay for $20 plus shipping, I don't think new BB even hit hawaii yet but knowing how scarce classic BB is in hawaii I know new BB will even be harder.
