Ultimate Bumblebee

Yeah, the gun arm seems a bit short (I'm guessing they had to truncate it so that it could fit into his alt mode). That would be my only complaint regarding the figure.

In that case, I hope it can extend or somethin??

Cannon arm is exact same lenght as regular arm minus the hand. Wrist to wrist (end of cannon), exact same lenght.

Ahh... gotcha.

Saw him today at Wal-Mart... he looks pretty darn cool IMO. But I just don't have that kind of money for TFs.

I have had UBB for a while now. I think it's a nice compromise between having an action figure and an animatronic/interactive toy. Obviously it is not fully movie-accurate - but honestly in the movie where does the rear glass go, or the interior (seats, steering wheel, dash)?

Here's some still snaps of it right after I got it: http://picasaweb.google.com/exittoshell/Ul...ebeeTransformer

Some picts are flipped because I forgot to click the "flip the iSight picture" box.

Here's some video (audio/motion, no commentary) of robot and alt mode:

I am still experimenting with the chest plate to better match the movie. There are actually five separate panels that can be pulled apart slightly from each other and repositioned quite significantly. Again, this is the result of compromising what was in the movie with the reality of a real transforming toy that also needed room for motors/lights/batteries.

How many ppl have gotten the Ultimate BB ($80-$90 one)???

What is everyone's impressions of it??

I got it for my son - for Xmas. My first impression (as it's still in the box) - it's HUGE (too big in fact). Thing seems to Tower over Leader class Prime. Scale alone, is a major knock for me.

I found some regular 08 BB's also, so I went ahead and ordered one of those for myself ($12 shipped).. and it seem a lot more reasonable (even ignoring the money issue).

I was just curious who had actually gotten one, and what their impressions were.

I never got the problem with scale. TF's have never been to scale with each other and the movie just seemed to fuel this strange complaint. As for Ultimate BBB, he looks like a fat kid. His torso ruins the figure and I think if that would have been made a bit smaller and subtle, he might have been worth his buck.

I see this thing quite a bit at my present work place. To be honest, I have 0 vested interest in this thing. Just a giant paperweight as far as I'm concerned. Oh but the 08 Bee is very good..

Size really isn't everything.. some of the best TFs in the movie line have been the deluxes.

i find that deluxes are usually the best of any line.... no batteries, no lights, no sounds, less kibble,... just plastic, paint and lots of joints.

I got deluxe BB and that's about it for me.

Haven't seen one anywhere yet but have seen the replicas.

Easy pass.
