new opinion of MP-05 after seeing

Ummm... I am not if you noticed dude, but that Megatron's torso is not fully extended (close to 2/3 of the torso segments is shown in the clip if you look carefully), which is the cause of the reviewer's head and arm problems. And I also think that the reviewer applyed way TOO much force if he broke the thing. When I transformed mine, I used some force on it but not to much at all.

In all, MP-05 Megatron is pure "sweetness" and is an awesome transformer that is beautifully crafted and engineered :thumb . I actually shed a tear when I finished transforming him the first time. So worth the wait and the $100 I paid for it...

yea I noticed the body thing too. I think the reviewer couldn't pull it down since the legs popped off

I think I can sorta agree, the MP series has changed a lot from the way it started.

MP Prime and Magnus are heavy with the die-cast, and rather big and solid. Screamer comes off like a model, hell I broke a wing tip off mine, and Megatron is even more so. He ain't stood right since the one time it got Transformed.

No idea what MP 7 or 8 will be. More jets would be fine, at 1 a year I can afford to get these for my birthday or something.

I think the MP line is overlooked, it started out great, but I think that if MP prime wouldn't have come out first, we would be thinking differently.

If I'm gonna be paying $100+ for a single toy, I better get something close to perfection. <_<

Totally off topic...

Back on topic...

Prime & Megs were the only 2 MP TF's I intended to get & I'm happy with both. :thumb

a little off topic, but...

Last night my MP Prime and Megatron (locked in battle a la Sherman Dam) took a swan dive off of my desk (about 3 feet) and there was no breakage what-so-ever! I got home from work and saw them sitting in disarray (Grandfather knocked them over, and then put back on desk), I was so worried. Last time he knocked something over I had to replace my TF2000 God Magnus.

I guess my point is, even as worried as I was, Megatron has proven to be far more durable than I expected. It is the closest thing to a perfect Megatron we will ever see, I was in love with it since the first pictures surfaced, but did think it felt a little fragile when I finally got one home.

has anyone else noticed this?

the more "MP" figs come out the les "MP"-like they look.

I mean MP-01 was great, but he was too dark.

MP-02 was way off in bot mode only since Magnus was always in his armor

MP-03 had good jet mode, crappy colors

MP-04 was good but still too dark

MP-05 is fragile, ridiculously stupid to transform, horrible, stupid piece of Blot

MP-06 has good colors(so far) but still all that crappy kible in bot mode

Comments?

Um...wow. All of your dislikes are at best nitpicks. These are indeed "Masterpieces", not "Perfectpieces" you were hoping they'd be.

I find MP01 to be the weakest of the 3 molds. Weak feet joints, flappy panels, floppy truck mode, over simplistic transformation, loose panels (i.e. the one that covers the head) and couple that with a high price tag makes the first one the worst up to date. Of course, being the first, I expect problems from the first version.

Over-simplistic transformation? This is Optimus Prime were talking about. His G1 transformation scheme was never more difficult than Leader 1 (the Go-Bot or the Mini-con.... take your pick!)

Now, I do wish that his alt mode actually had a cab with doors and an interior , like the Alternators line. So in that respect, the mold is lacking.
