So nobody knows wher the cowboy goes in bot mode?

I was told that he's connected to his seat and when you open the door he disappears. Spooky.

Considering his arms are beneath the cab entirely I thought the backs of the seats were on the back of his arms. If so where does the figure go if he goes backwards in alt mode. I assumed he was removable but apparently not.

Cowboy stays visible in robot mode, it just disappears if you open the door in truck mode. A few pics I took today of my own Prime.

Shrink-wrapped (with twisties... I wonder why since it's only a loose test shot?)

VEHICLE MODE

The pictures speak for themselves... almost. It looks good, but it could have been a little tighter. Blame the numerous moving parts. Classics Prime has a tighter feel. The Cullen gimmick is pretty cool : you open the door and he disappears (flips back). Otherwise, it's a very nice truck.

TRANSFORMATION

A bit in the style of Ironhide as it has a pretty challenging transformation. I don't really know how I got from point A to point B but I made it. Can't really explain what happens in between, but the leg transformation is very cool with a lot of shifting and folding and twisting. I wonder what the designer was smoking that day! All the automorphing is in the legs. The arms unfold from the under the cab, head too. I like how they hide the torso (upside-down behind the real cab).

ROBOT MODE

This is where the toy shines. Very poseable, imposing, guns can be shoulder-mounted or hand-held, firing missiles, very good poseability, quite stable, hard to ask for more!

Overall, it's a good toy that could have had a tighter fit in truck mode. Otherwise, it has to be the coolest Prime in a long time.

PS : Had the backpack mistransformed when I took the pics, but I figured it out later.

Awsome review. Sounds about right for what you get.

A little Disappointed in that he's scaled a lot smaller than the other voyagers. The leader class may be closer. Almost thinking I'll get both. Overall not bad.

Also firing missils. Where?

Thank you for the review! I was wondering when we'd find out about his Automorph. (What does it do exactly? Create the feet?)

Now that I've seen him with the other toys in the line, I've made my final decision. Leader Class all the way and the only way. I was planning on buying the Voyager as well (I love the driver gimmick..lol) but the driver alone just isn't worth my $20.00 (and that's literally all the reason I was going to buy the Voyager Class figure.) It's not worth it when I considered that I'm getting the one I really want, plus the LC fits better size wise with the fellas. That and I looove those idiotic lights and sounds damnit! lol I love 'em like a fat man loves cake. (Oh wait...that would be me.)

The automorph gimmick is kinda hard to explain... When you transform the lower legs, some panels rotate inside and others outside... You will understand better when you get it. :)

the driver vanishes when you open the door?!

the more cool stuff I read about this toy the more I am planning to save my cash to get this guy before any other figure

The idea of the drivr figure vanishing when you open the door reminds me of the comics, when Smokescreen showed Spike (or was it Buster?) his 'inflatable driver'... while the poor kid was SITTING in the driver's seat...

There's a small peg like piece of plastic on the door that pushes this other piece of plastic in when the door is closed, and that's what makes the drive flip out.
