When he's transformed, is the little texen still visible, or is it tucked away?

<.< And how does everyone feel about that gimmick anyways?

tex(A)n...

And...(looks at mini-cons/stuff that transforms/mini-scorponok robot thing)...I dunno. Could be cooler, but I guess it's unique. I wonder if they'll paint him.

Doesn't look like they will.

Ryan, Seibertron.com's owner, won the auction for the actual Test Shot (the one with more paint apps), and then there's one or two eBay auctions with the "finalized" figure with flame marks on the roof of the cab, and less on the body, etc.

In both instances, neither driver was painted. To be honest, I doubt they will paint him.

He's too small to really be bothered by it, and he disappears as part of the gimmick, so he's not a constant visual item.

I'd be pleased if they did, I'd like them to go that extra mile, but I won't hold my breath.

If we really want be dicks about it:

(T)ex(a)n...

Or we could y'know, act like not dicks..

And how is a tiny little Skorponok even.. comparable to a transformation feature built into the robot?

Personally, I think it's a waste of time if they're not going to paint him so he stands out better.

True, he does blend in, far too well. However, it's a neat little trinket to add on, especially considering he disappears/reappears when you open/close the door. (That's bad ass right there.)

I guess our fellow collectors (with a steady hand and a great deal more patience than I have) will have to do their best to paint him up. ...though I'm pretty sure that's gonna be a Starscream.

Was wondering this myself.

Where does the driver go in bot mode?

I love the gimmick, BTW. I think it's something we've never had with TFs and that makes it refreshing, painted or not.

We had tiny miniatures. Beast Wars micro RPG sets. Heck, G1 in practicalyl it's entirety wa Diaclone, so actual Diaclone drivers could fit in the toys.
