Titanium War Within 6-Inch Sunstorm, Ultra Magnus

Recommended Posts

has any one said this yet, "If you dont like white Prime repaints, don't buy em and STFU!!"? Hasbro can make what ever they want. buy it or dont. Every decision hasbro makes, they do it because fans demanded it /or they think it will make money.

I'd add a third option, "to get as much value as possible out of a given mold." Not that that's a bad thing for a company that needs profits in order to stay alive. But I don't pretend that Hasbro's rash of White Primes is completely motivated by a desire to provide plastic/die-cast wank material to fans of a defunct comic company. You can bet that we wouldn't see a single one if "Magnus" required a new mold.

BUT

The Fallen = plastic/die-cast wank material to fans of a defunct comic company

The Fallen = required a new mold

Definitely true. But the entire Titanium series is like this, not just for DW fans but for fans of all kinds of TF series.

I also suspect that these figures cost less to produce than the average plastic-former, but that's just me.

I think the "WW Magnus" repaint is a way to offset costs anyway... I mean, that's fanwank for NOBODY since he looked nothing like that in the comic.

It is interesting that the Titaniums are working off a defunct story from a defunct publisher, but the concept was friggin awesome, and a great leap for Hasbro (Probably due to Titanium actually falling under the watch of the Galoob people, and not the folks from Hasbro that usually just work around japanese designs) but the idea of making the Fallen shows that Hasbro isn't just resting on the name recognition.

I think the first Titanium Megatron is being surrepitiously forgotten in that statement....

Where the hell did he come from anyway??

Old GI Joe vs. Transformers Crossover design. I'm unsure if the actual design was ever used or not. I don't believe it was in the long run though.

Purely based on looks (and not keeping in mind who he is and what he looked like in the comics), I think I would prefer Magnus his colors of Prime's, if only because I'm so extremely tired of Prime always being a red/grey/blue (fire)truck.

And since I don't own the WWI Prime, I might just get this to annoy some people :tfevil

Also, I believe the first time the term "Spark" was used was in beast wars. I can gyess that the spark is what Vector Sigma gave the Stunticons and Aerialbots, but I can't be sure. I do know that the Combaticons were created using Brain Modules, and that Wheeljack and Ratchet have the power of the gods because they built the Dinobots from scratch... or maybe canibalized Hauler.

not sure about this but in g1 season 3 didnt they call starscreams soul his "spark"?

and i think the combaticons were made using existing "sparks" that were downloaded from some sort of incarceration hard drive were a transformers "spark" is saved as a file in a "jail harddrive" to keep them away from their chassis. or at least thats what i thought it was...

No. They did not.

Again, no. They were not called "Sparks". They were "personality components" from political prisoners. In retcon, they are the same, yes, but when the Combaticons' episode was written, the writers had no intent to call the soul of a TF a Spark.
