Alternators/Binaltech

Recommended Posts

I like Bt/Alts, especally the Bt with all the sweet lovable die-cast. I just hate the way it's being restricted to cars only, because that to me will make it get old fast.

waah waah I want G1.

Whatever, man...Why would you want ugly 80's model cars as giant metal superheros in 2004? They need updated bodies...besides, with Alternators on the market, G1 toys may as well have never existed...

People will hate me for this but here I go anyway: My dream is that Alternators could be sets of cars (Autobots) and Planes (Decepticons). Stillborndream #1. :tdown :tfsad

So if we stick with cars, why not using characters that were all cars? There are plenty of them.

What make Alternators cooler to me is the fact that they're based on a G1 character that was a car. This decision steals the illusion. Stillborn dream #2. . :tdown :tfsad

About the molds each have, I don't know 'bout licensing or trademarks, but I too would like him to be a lamborghini. Or at leas that he transform like his G1 counterpart (my only complaint), like Smokescreen and Hound does. By the way, Hound is my top favorite because, despite having a different jeep type, he has same color and look of the original. :clap :thumb :tfgrin

About Grimlock all I will say is that I would like to see a beast version of Alternators: mecha beasts (not Beast Wars like) with large size and great detail. By the way, any news on the Energon Dinobots??

Even THAT didn't sell like hot candy, judging by the stacks of him at Walmart...

I haven't seen a 20th Prime at a store for months now - they've sold out a long time ago from the looks of it. And I never saw one below a hundred bucks, either (except online).

You should come down here man... Our Wal*Mart uses stacks of 20th Prime and Unicron to display clearance Universe toys.

Not really, but they could.

That wouldn't fit in the Alternator line-up at all. The whole point is to have a realistic alt mode AND a great-looking posable robot mode as well. Like I said in another post, HasTak could certainly create an Alternator: Military line that would make sense, but some sort of beast line would mean that Grimlock's alt mode would be all green and scaly, like a BW 'bot.

I mean, it's not a bad idea (I'd buy a good BW Dinobot figure), but not for Grimlock - he's a robotic dinosaur! Maybe we'll see an MP-type figure of him - that'd be nice.

besides, with Alternators on the market, G1 toys may as well have never existed...

You truly are an idiot. Without G1 toys, Alternators WOULD never have existed...

Dope.

Once again I have to say, When Alternators/Bt came out, It was like they dug into my brain and Designed the transformers I have always wanted. Real cars with interiors that could possibly hold passengers and can still transform into a highly detailed and posable figure. On top of that we have the option of diecast figures or plastic. It would be nice if they could be cartoon perfect but If this line is only going to be cars then I'd perfer the new cars they're picking now.

Bottom line, whether they're the original cars or not, I consider these toys to be the perfect 20th anniversary figures

Who would want ALL of them cartoon perfect? I mean some like Hound, Jazz, Streaker and Swipe, Bluestreak, had timeless auto modes that'll look good no matter how old. But Ironhide, skids, Windcharger with those dated looking body styles? Who would buy a toy van nowadays anyway, unless it were an ambulance or something? I know if they released Ironhide, he definitely shouldnt be a Chevy Venture or any other type of van.
