Dude, as much as I love G1 I have to say it sounds like you're living in the past....I mean what's wrong with the BT/ALts line....nothing. The story that Takara came up with for the BT line fully explains why all the transformers are cars. So really get over it, if you don’t like BT/ALT Grimlock then don’t buy it….it’s really that simple.

 

Don’t get me wrong I would love to see a MP Grimlock with his Dino mode, but really I love the BT/Alt line and really like what they did with Grim….end of story.

Whats the story in the Binaltech line? Haven't read it yet.

WHo is living in the past I own the Alternators and will buy them all. The only problem I have with them is that they are taking to long to come out. the Smokscrene and Sidswipe figure came out a few months ago and I haven't seen any new alternators

Oh, and for the "d0dg3 n07 l4mb0" comment... Sideswipe wasn't a Lamborghini on Cybertron, you know. Teletraan-1 just chose that form for him when rebuilding him on Earth.

So what if his new body has now been built by Dodge instead? Does that change the character? Does Batman's character change when he replaces the yellow oval on his chest with an entirely black bat? (Though I must admit I hate the "new old" retro costume - but only because it looks stupid, not because "it's not the same as before")

BT/ALts have nothing to do with MP Prime at all. The BT/Alt line story has old transformers remade into new bodies using technology developed by the auto manufacturers. Hence, they will ALL be cars and it matters not what their original alt mode was. BT/Alts are the best TF line ever, and yet some still complain about them. Oh well.

Because they're friggin' expensive to produce, and it's not like an entire "Masterpiece" series would sell like hot candy... A single toy, yes, but not an entire series.

I haven't seen a 20th Prime at a store for months now - they've sold out a long time ago from the looks of it. And I never saw one below a hundred bucks, either (except online).

 

I think our best bet is a Starscream 20th Anniversary - knowing how HasTak likes to make remolds, it's our best chance. I'd buy all three (provided they were released far enough apart from each other).

I like Alt line more than MP.

 

While MP Convoy was sweet and all, the Alt line is/will be better than a full fledge MP line.

 

Without taking the cost into effect, the Alts' size, updated alt mode, and complexity, is in many ways better than a oversized G1 figure. Sure MP Convoy was complex, but alot of details were not necessary. IMHO, the details on MP were only there to justify the price and size.

seriously. i like to consider MP/20th is a unic piece in an unic serie and if there must to be other toy of that quality they will be BT/Alt! It's better for my wallet. Don't forget a serie is also something to collect. There is no way we could collect toys whose the price of each would be an hundred of dollars. So the BT/Alt serie is perfect (exept we must wait it come out in the shop).

 

I would only consider an other MP for Megatron. But we all know it is merely impossible.
