I saw a ton of Mirages, Grimlocks and Jetfires over at a Target... if I wasn't in such a finical rut at the moment, I probably would of grabbed one of any of em.. *probably Jetfire.. so that I wouldn't feel the overwhelming need to own the G1 version*

classics have been faring fairly decently around here. i'm willing to bet though that it's mostly adult collectors buying them. the lack of a cartoon severally hampers them from being marketed toward children. i've noticed a few younger parents noticing them and recognizing the characters and explaining to their kids who they are. when wal-mart finaly got them in they put in a HUGE display of wave 1 and i was suprised at just how quickly they where able to move them to the action figures section, and how many have been sold. main warmers are prime, bumblebee, and astrotrain with mirage and the protectobots bringing up the rear. jetfire is probably the hardest to find, and i've saw grimlock a handfull of times but not much. as for other tfs, lots and lots of old cybertron stock, optimal Titanium's, and movie primes.

To be fair, Prime is only shelf warming because EVERY DAMN BOX OF VOYAGERS CONTAINS A BAZILLION OF HIM.

There are no Protectobots in the classics. So far there have just been Prime, Grimlock, Hot Rod (Officially packaged as Rodimus), Mirage, Bumblebee, Jetfire, Megatron, Starscream, Astrotrain, and the Prime vs. Megatron two pack.

 

All we're waiting for is the Ultra Magnus vs. Skywarp two pack, Ramjet and Cliffjumper.

i was talking about the night rescue minicon team, which has earned the nickname of the protectobots.

I hope the jet mold gets repainted as the rest of the seekers. I don't care if it's packaged as classics or not. I just want an official set.

:pfx Though it would be nice for Thrust and Dirge to get their trademark wings. I snagged most of the line during TRU's post-xmas B2G1 sale, and was kind of underwhelmed. The seekers are the only ones I'll be buying repaints of. Sorry Cliffjumper. :tfsad
