And why. If anything, it should just be a comparison of RM G1 Convoy and Classics Optimus vs. Megatron version.

 

Hybrid Convoy is more like a 4 inch tall MP Convoy.

It's always "compare this Prime to THIS Prime". Or if the person is feeling PARTICUARLY creative, "compare THIS truck to Prime!" You never hear "compare Destron Sixwing to Micromaster Superion", or "Compare Snowcat and Alt Skids." It's PRIME PRIME PRIME PRIME.

THS-02 > Classics 2-pack Prime > RM Prime.

It's always "compare this Prime to THIS Prime". Or if the person is feeling PARTICUARLY creative, "compare THIS truck to Prime!" You never hear "compare Destron Sixwing to Micromaster Superion", or "Compare Snowcat and Alt Skids." It's PRIME PRIME PRIME PRIME.

I don't think comparing Snowcat to Alt Skids is really a good idea personally. Skids is far superior to Snowcat. They're also from different lines. It'd be like comparing G1 Megatron to BW Scorponok.

 

I personally compare things if they're the same type of figure (Prime/Megatron/Starscream etc), or the same line (Armada/Energon etc).

 

Just look at Remy's figure galleries. They follow this idea.

But still, don't bother comparing it to Hybrid Style Prime. It's not fair to Classics 2 pack Prime to be compared to a superior figure. Compare him to a figure that's almost equal to him in quality. Use RM Convoy.

On the other hand, a bit of paint, a new head, and you can make Alt Snowcat....

 

And really. Superior is hardly in concrete when you discuss toys. Skids is more articulated, yes. But Snowcat is more fun to play with. Skids is TEH GEEWUN. But Snowcat is TEH YOOOO JOE!. Apples and oranges are rarely ever such common things.

 

But still, it just bores me. It's like that the second the "best" Prime comes along, the one you owned prior must be thrown away or something! What happened to enjoying each toy on its own merits?

Personally, I think we should concentrate on different cars from each TF lines, regardless of faction. I am SO sick and tired of Optimus Prime comparison, you'd think Optimus Prime is the only toy in TF.

 

I would love to see a comparison of G1 Cars to G2 cars, or Beast Machines vehicles compared to Cybertron Vehicles, or later G1 cars compared to Energon or Cybertron cars.

 

Optimus Prime, on the other hand, is always a truck - fire or semi. Yay. The originality.
