my metroplex snapped in half at the waist :blueface be careful with that! (i envy u people with complete metroplexes :redface)

like me? ;)

My Metro is the rubber wheels version and I NEVER EVER turn him at the waist. I put a lot of time into restoring my 'plex and the risk of breakage is just too great :tdown

I've had two Fangry's that have both broken at the hip joint. Apparently, you can only transform him so many times before the poor plastic bar just snaps. :blueface

Thunderclash and Skyquake both suffer badly from GPS. :tfsad

The freakin' head broke off of my Transmetal Megs the other day when I was trying to put on his Golden Disc spinner attachment. The head!! I superglued it back on, but I think some of the glue seeped down into his neck hole, because now his head won't turn. I guess he'll just be facing forward from now on.

Snapped the head off of my G1 vortex while I was transforming him. :redface

Killbison : Plastic tends to shatter around the turret pivot and the arm pivots.

Not easy to spot either...... something to consider when you decide to drop $500 or so on Liokaiser.

Transmetals Megatron

Robot Shoulders are very fragile. Careless transforming will no doubt leave with at least one broken. I've had two and both are broke.

I have the same problem. I ended up almost breaking my second one (that was previously MIB :tfsad ) and ended up modifying him anyways so he would at least hold proper pose.

Energon Steamhammer has crappy knees. I broke my first one. Happens when you extend or shoten his legs to go to/from combiner mode. It's not the actual knee itself, but that hinge under it. Too delicate.

i dont understand the gold syndrome, th plastic "melts or the gold paint? some one please explain :tfmad

I have Slog, Metroplex and Mirage and ive had no problems with either of them. Of course i barely touch my Slog now, but as a kid i played with him alot and never had problems. Also my Metro is the plastic wheel version, so that could be why he's stable. My mirage ive only had for bout 7 months now and only problem i have with him is the legs wont stay extended all the time(ie they slide back up)

Now one problem i have is TM Rattrap, that damn red chrome is all but flaked off of him now, grr.

Thanks eviltwinstepbrother!

That's nice to know cause I'm currently looking for a Liokaiser giftset. I really don't want to spend $400-$500 for it though. And from what a friend said, he's not that great of a toy. Still want it though. :redface

Its already been answered but its basically a matter of the mix for this kind of plastic has tiny air bubbles in it, and it makes the plastic very brittle, and the older it gets the worse it gets, so that the figures will actually start to crumble under their own weight in some cases. I've actually had a few figures who I watched fall apart. Nothing touched them, no wind, nothing, the plastic jsut crumbled, and when I picked them up more of the plastic crumbled in my fingers. I think the last figure to show up with the problem was Randy in the BW era.
