I saw 1 Grimlock in Target yesterday and handed him to a lady whose three sons love Transformers. She thanked me over and over for helping her decided which toys to get as stocking stuffers. She was holding some Cybertron basic repaints :eek

 

I showed her Bumblebee, Grimlock, and Astrotrain because she said they liked Dinos and Trains. I told her that Bumblebee was lots of fun and she wondered how I knew so much about them. I mentioned collecting them since '84 and TeH INTERNETS.

 

It was nice to be appreciated and not made fun of for being so buff buying toys :D

 

I'll find Grim again - after all, they are childrens play-things right?

Question: I notice this Grimlock is the same as mine as far as this goes. Are the shoulder parts on the arms backwards? I know you can probably turn them around and it wouldn't effect transformation. I wonder, because the instructions show him one way and the packaging shows another.

 

It's kind of like when I got the TRU Classics 2 pack and I realized that Megatron's feet were on backwards.

 

If you turn Grimlock's shoulders around, then the screws will face forward in dino mode instead of robot mode. So it's your choice.

went to 4 places yesterday, and found multiples of mirage in each. no grims. arg!

I know. I really wish grim wasn't shortpacked.

I thought mirage would be the short packed one. It is just like that, the one that get's short packed is the one everybody wants.

 

I was so fortunate to find my jetfire.

 

But yeah I'd like to have gimlock, sort of complete the autobot set here a bit.

yeah, i found jetfire in an unopened box one night in TRU. when i brought him up, he wasn't even in their computer yet, so they scanned a prime. haven't seen him in a store since.

I searched for two weeks to find a replacement for the Grim I traded to STP, and then gave up and bought one on Evilbay for $24 buy it now s/h included. Then found him the very next freeking morning at Target the exact same Target I had looked in the previous morning. Ok so I paid over twice as much as I paid for my first one but ah well. I've got him on his way to my house right now. :mwahaha
