I don't know what you're talking about. My kids love Cybertron. Anyway, every Transformers cartoon ever has been aimed at kids. I mean, durrr, that's what they do, right? Sell kids' stuff?

 

And it's not like "for kids" = "it must suck". There are a million examples I could give you of awesome kids' entertainment.

recent incarnations of the transformers just included aspects of what is popular with kids today, ie; race to collect something, race to power up, race to learn to merge.... etc. It's always been about what is popular with kids.

I have to say both Pete & Y2 both have good points. I mean these are kids shows and are aimed at them. However there are quite few rather mature cartoons now showing that are for kids. And are very successfull in selling merchendise and getting viewers from diferent ages. Naruto is one example, it has its kiddie moments but also its people dying and getting hurt moments.

I just don't think we have any room to complain about something that isn't even targeted towards us in the first place. Maybe we should watch something more age-appropriate, perhaps.

those kids were there so the kids watching could pretend to be them in the battles with the transformers, that was the same role Spike played in G1, he was our "in" to that world.
