Umm... if you don't want to take stock of non-cartoon origins (which is kinda weird considering how crap the cartoon continuity was) then why do you give a Blot about Primus??

 

 

Well, I prefer the cartoon origins from a simply nostalgic viewpoint - it's what I grew up with. But mostly I was just tryin' to be funny... :redface

 

You gotta admit, though, that if the Quints did build Cybertron, and thusly built the robot Cybertron turns into, it would explain the lack of God-like abilities that Y2K is asking about... :D

Best discription for Primus would probably be a Demi-God...on second thought... a Watcher. Dosen't reeeeally need to use his power and because he's a robot, it also means that his physical strength, although vast compared to humans, has it's limitations.

 

He's primarily an observer of the life that goes on around him.

Primus and Unicron are Gods, but more in the Greco-Roman definition of gods as opposed to the Judeo-Christian definition of a Super God.

Also, I'm all for Optimus Prime being tough and kicking ass, but if he's stronger than his creator/planet-god that's about 500,000 times bigger, stronger, and more armed than him...WTF?!

Dunno how strong primus is. he's pretty lazy though. I mean the only reason he made tfs is to fight unicron.

I must concur, I mean c'mon! Primus actually got his ass whooped by Galvatron, but only because his power was draining.... but shouldn't the great creator of the Cybertronians have more than enough power?? OF COURSE SHOULDN'T IF HE WAS A GOD?? Although don't forget when Starscream grew bigger when he jumped into the energy field which was Primus's spark, primus did get lucky there and kicked his ass... but still was nothing compared to when Galvatron whooped his ass. The fact is Primus isn't as strong as some people believe he is, Optimus being stronger than Primus shows how much of a inferior wimp Primus is compared to a much smaller individual than himself is - Galvatron.

I thought his weakness was explained due to him dividing his spark (and thus his power), into the four force chips for the benefit of his offspring. Thus, for most of the series (until all the planet leaders defeat Galvatron, and retrieve the chip square), his true power was never revealed.

As I see it, G1 Galvatron was Megatron after a repair job from a big robot created by some scientist. No "god" involved, demi or otherwise.
