Assume that a year from now, Classics is still going and ONE G1 gimmick can be revived for the line's final wave.

Feel free to work with the assumptions that:

A) The sculpts will be new or heavily retooled.

B) All options are deluxes. Just to level the playing field.

C) Articulation will be good.

D) The characters used will be the most popular/iconic/sought after. (Say... Stepper, Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Kup for Target Masters. Scorponok with Zarak, Cerebros with Spike and Arcee with Daniel for Headmasters. Power Master Prime and the big PMs. Maybe up to one new inclusion for each category... Ie. Power Master Soundwave or Headmaster Goldbug or Targetmaster Swoop or something off the wall and new in each wave.)

A year from now the movie line will be on its last leg, Classics will probably only last until May or June of next year.

Personally I rather not have any gimmicks, but if I had to have one, I'd rather have Classics versions Devestator, Bruticus, Superion, Defensor, and so on.

I voted Headmasters. I loved how the little guy could fit in the big guys driver's seat when I was a young'un.

the only minicons i liked were the target master ones. energons omega supreme wasnt bad with the lil headmaster. but i think id rather have targetmasters.

I'm not big on gimmicks.

I'd also rather see Devastator and the likes...

:pfx I voted for Headmasters, too...since I loved the gimmick as a kid. (I'd love a Classics Squeezeplay!)

My second choice would be Pretenders, cause I liked the premise of Transformers ultimately disguising themselves as humans(or monsters...) in Masterforce...but I'd only want it if both the inner robot and the outershell had a decent-ish amount of articulation.

but then again..if we got Powermasters, maybe we could get a new PM Prime w/Apex Bomber(since it probally wouldn't be called Ginrai and God Ginrai for an American release..)

....Geez. Now I'm wishing I hadn't voted till I thought it through better. :redface

Oh well, maybe if they could; they could make PM Prime into both a Powermaster and a Headmaster(for Super Mode)...and a little Roller target master fig(transforms from little robot to weapon to vehicle!) I'd be perfectly fine with that. :thumb

Aoi

My "wish" for Classics is to have ALL of G1 redone, I know it's unlikely though!

I'd like to see each character given their appropriate gimmick so I don't think I can just pick one gimmick.

I'd like to see:

D) The characters used will be the most popular/iconic/sought after. (Say... Stepper, Hot Rod, Cyclonus and Kup for Target Masters. Scorponok with Zarak, Cerebros with Spike and Arcee with Daniel for Headmasters. Power Master Prime and the big PMs.

But not:

Maybe up to one new inclusion for each category... Ie. Power Master Soundwave or Headmaster Goldbug or Targetmaster Swoop or something off the wall and new in each wave.)

...if that makes sense? :thumb

My only question is, why is the option Combiners not in the question?

anyways, I'll be overjoyed if they remake a LeoKaiser into Classics... but that'll be the day. ;P

Headmasters, I would've of loved for it to be redone in Cybertron with the Gigalonians, but we had Energon Omega, so that's good enough.

Just need ot stick with iconic charachters instead of gimmicks for Classics.

With a little energon and a lot of luck, Pretenders could be made completely bad-ass. The others already were cool, so they don't need fixin'.
