I see your point. Virtual porn is, in itself, not hurting anyone real. Agreed. The danger I see in it is that people who have to take 'refuge' (I use the term lightly.) in such porn may just do so because it's a legal version of some desire that is illegal in real life. Porn such as that keeps the interest going. Some interests, such as having sex with a child, should not be supported in any way IMO.

i understand your concern, it's something brought up many many times in concern with virtual pornography. it's something thats been brought up in court concerning hearings on virtual pornography (which keeps changing here from legal to illegal). according to the numbers virtual pornograghy satiats most pedophiliac's desires to see real pornography, and in some cases the real pornography satiates their desires to actually abuse a child. it's the same logic that congress and religious rights groups apply to violence in video games/movies/tv/music. although there are cases in which the said material does excite the need and desire within a person to the point that they act on it, that is most certainly not the majority.

If the girl looked 18 or older & the toy was aimed at adult collectors, I'd be fine with it. If the girl wasn't dressed & posed in a sexually provocative manner & was aimed at kids, I'd be fine with it. I'm no "prude" by a long shot, but endorsing sexual contact with children is just sick & twisted.

 

what "looks" 18 and what doesn't is realy up to the person looking at the art. there are countless peices of artwork in museums and ancient ruins accross the world that depict people under the age of 18 in a variety of sexual behavior. your honestly suggesting that it be destroyed? i know we're talking about a manga/toy being produced right now, but it's not doing anything that hasn't been done since the time of man. i'm sure that you can even take a modern text book and find in it somewhere a nude piece of artwork in which there is underage nudity. pick up an art book and i garuntee you'll find an "under age" person Powerglideing. your also saying that many many pornographers should be put out of business. just because your moraly apposed to something that you can choose to not look at. melissa is in a bathing suit, she's on the beach as is infered by the surfboard, and flipflops. on the inside flap she's taking her shirt off to better suit a beach environment. also as has been stated before, it's not aimed at children, the bts are marketed at the 15+ crowd. i whole-heartedly agree with the last statement made in that quote though. it Powerglides the kid's life up and like i said, most of them are probably murdered, but we're not talking about children... we're talking about a Powerglideing drawing.
