So far the only Quintesson toy we got has been Alpha Quintesson - but obviously if he counts or doesn't count, then any future Quintesson figures which we may get would fall under the same category - hence why I've used the term "Quintessons." Note that Alpha Quintesson is marketed as part of the main Transformers action figure line and according to his packaging, was marketed as a Decepticon (Decepticon faction logos appear on the box - just as Deluxe Unicron is also marketed as a "Decepticon" and Primus as an "Autobot" - IMO they should've marketed Unicron with the Blentron insignia).

Note that "Beastformers" does NOT include Battle Beasts. Although the toys are the same, Battle Beasts were never marketed by Hasbro as part of the main Transformers action figure line, nor did they ever appear in Hasbro TF canon. Conversely, the Beastformers were specifically marketed as part of the main Transformers action figure toyline - they appear in the 1987 G1 catalogues, have the "Transformers" logo/font on their boxes and also feature in the Headmasters TV series.

Although I would count them as Transformers, I predict that most other folks will disagree with me and count neither of them. I am making this prediction based on the fact that the majority of people so far think that the TF Microman humans don't count as Transformers, despite the fact that they are marketed in the same way as Alpha Quintesson and the Beastformers as being part of the main Transformers action figure line despite the fact that they are not Cybertronians.

Do these TF Microman humans count?

...the majority of people seem to think not.

I don't really know story of beastformers, so I prefer to don't vote.

but in my point of view, kicker count. built by takara, sold into transformer packaging and appears in the show.. what do you need more ?

same for quintessons..

concerning the one sold with the repaint of perceptor, I don't really know : not because he's a microman, but because he's part of playset with perceptor.. I think there's already a vote concerning if we count the "package" or the number of figures inside..

100% no.

I don't count them as Transformers. I count them as extra action figures/accessories to the main line/figures that they may have come with.

I voted for Quintessans but now I'm not so sure, considering the Microman argument.

Beastformers were in the headmasters cartoon, the first series was released w/autobot and Decepticon symbols, they had Transformers:Beastformers on the packaging (that was done in G1 style). They are part of Transformers. Same thing goes for the quints, for the most part. If it has Transformers on the package it counts.

I voted all.

If it has Transformers on the package it counts.

let me rephrase...since this was about toys. I ment TOYS with the transformers title count? Any better? When the hell did everyone start reading every little thing at face value? Read between the lines, understand that the topic was about the toys, thus my responce was based on toys. I keep underestimating people on this factor, I'll have to remeber to try to be as specific as possible next time... :wtf

Just a friendly reminder that if you voted or are considering voting any option other than "None of them count," then I would also strongly urge you to support the inclusion of counting the Transformer Microman figures by casting a supportive vote in Poll #12.
