MP Starscream color comfirmed

"It's an APPLE!!"

"NO! It's an ORANGE!!!"

"WAIT! It's an APPLE that looks like an ORANGE!!!!"

that's what this has turned into.

yeah pretty much

I can understand people being disappointed since this is like their one chance to get a sweet MP Starscream... and I do have to admit that their choice of colors is a bit unorthodox... but I dunno, I love G1 and I'm cool with this.

Actually, if anything I wish he were less G1-y in jet mode, like w/o the :Dc symbols and stripes

Honestly, I could really do without the white.

it does stand out a bit more than I'd like, considering the "realistic" angle they seem to be going for with the jet mode. But I'm guessing that they felt they had to throw some G1-y visual references in there for the fans and stuff.

Yeah, I'm talking about moreso the stripes on his shoulders and forearms.

OIC

eh, I figure they changed him this much already :tflaugh

I just want to see a nice pic of the jet mode on the stand

Way to half-ass it on both fronts. :redface

well there's no pleasing some people, I guess

I like the jet mode because it's still identifiable as a Transformer, despite the gray-ness

I actually don't mind the jet.  I just don't appreciate the way a box of crayons threw up all over it's undercarriage.

It would be easy to please me.  But this thing is trying to go in a hundred directions at one.  It doesn't look like a real jet, and it doesn't look like Starscream.  It looks like a seeker, yes, but... that's it.

I don't believe what I'm hearing!

"The colors aren't G1 accurate, so I'm not going to get it!"

This thing kicks MP OP's trash in terms of a realistic alt mode. I'd lose the stripes and Decepticon symbols on the jet (and hopefully the colors in the photo are a little off-hue), but people are going to be repainting this thing to no end, so the paint job doesn't bother me.

When I first got Alt. Smokescreen, the first Alt on the market, I thought that it was the Transformer I'd been waitng my whole life for. I'm considering rethinking that with MP-03.  :thumb

I think it's pretty straightforward: they wanted the jet to be "realistic" and yet still be recognizable as a Transformer. so that's what they did

My personal preference would have been more for an all-realistic jet mode, but it's not that big of a deal to me.

Notice how the more recent pics of him in bot mode have the hip kibble rotated back.  I think the flaming for the kibble has gotten to taktom and now they're trying to hide it.

or maybe he's properly transformed :roll

If they had marketed it as "Masterpiece Generic Seeker" I'd be a little more forgiving.

And maybe it if wasn't fugly to boot. :redface
