I soooo agree with you guys. This is very upsetting to me. i was hoping hot rod would be some sleek and fast car like a lambo. don't get me wrong, ford gt is fast but they already used the mold for mirage. if takara had planned to use the mold for hot rod all along. than hasbro should have made him too and use mirage for another mold.

simple solution: DON'T BUY MIRAGE. let Hot Rod be the only Ford GT in your collection.

Challenger all the way.  I like the GT well enough, but dammit I jsut want a challenger alt, and dont want it to be stuck as some half ass character because thats all thats left. Alt Searchlite or some such sh!t....

and here i was hopeing he'd be a chevy cavalier :tflaugh JK...i think the GT mold can work for him, with a different head mold...BUT IT SHOULD BE THE LAST!!

He's not a repaint (at least not yet).  Mirage isn't slated for release in JPN so mirage would be the repaint there.  Hotrod isn't set for release in the US...

Well the head on Mirage doesn't really look like Mirage, yet just about everyone accepted it (eventually).  Now they have a precedent when the same head doesn't really look like Hot Rod. :redface

I think its because hot rod is a bogger character than mirage. in my opinion, mirage old face looked dumb. people accepted the new head sculpt  more because it was an improvment.

sweet. even sweeter if hes diecast. however, im expecting him to have a new head sculpt. please say tak hasnt gotten as lazy as hasbro these days. now when we get repaints they dont even bother with new heads.

I dunno, looks like the same head to me... I think this might be a situation like we saw with Skids/Blaster/Ironhide? where they came up with a head generic enough to work for multiple bots.
