Just Checked my credit Card Statement, no charges yet. You know the real fustrating thing about this. If I wait three weeks and don't get one, I'll end up paying $150 for one off ebay becuase I waited. Man I hate this.

Okay just called and talked to Ben. (He was nice). He said theat all phone orders taken on Thursday would be honored, and that all orders wil be filled. He said he had no clue when or how long, and would not give me a date or time. He said it would take longer to ship than usual. He also said he does not know why things got screwed up, but not to worry becuase all the orders over the phone will be filled.

Well, it'd still be nice if the people who did get phone orders placed would hear something. I hate that feeling of not knowing what the hell is going on, especially when you don't see something charged to your credit card.  :monkey

 

If it's of any consolation to you guys, I know how you feel. I once dealt with Hero Headquarters, didn't hear squat from them for weeks, and then finally come to find out from them that the credit card was declined (which was major bullBlot, the card was fine). That's why I'll never deal with them ever again, and because of the fiasco with Nemesis Prime, I'll never deal with HTS.  :tdown

It sounds to me like HTS actually never had any NP stock to sell on the 20th, and that Hasbro is actually trying hard to fulfill phone orders that should have never been accepted by their operators in the first place by securing a shipment from Asia.

 

It wouldn't surprise me for them to begin offering them on the store site once the aforementioned shipment arrives - they'd be stupid not to import as many as possible considering the interest in the toy.

There would have been nothing to screw up if they had decided on a mainstream release.  Convention exclusives are evil, especially when they're not all that fantastic or odd to justify an exclusive.

you know it would not suprise me that bbts bought the toys and then put the mark up on them knowing that they were going to make a huge amout of loot on it

 

now the question is for such an exclusive toy why is it so much easyer to get one from another store?

What ways could BBTS have gotten Nem Prime?

 

1) bought from a seller in Asia, where it's a retail release.

2) bought from SDCC

3) bought from a domestic online source.

 

 

When you factor in potential costs such as shipping from Asia, shipping from a domestic source, or the cost of going to SDCC, the profit isn't that outrageous.

 

 

Joel could've charged $60 for it, and it would still have sold out.

i'm betting they got 'em from sdcc or bulk from asia, probably the latter, and either way wouldn't have been that cheap.  theres no way they could offer them @ $25 like hasbro did.  if it was too high they wouldn't have sold out that fast imo

I for one thought BBTS's price was reasonable for an EXCLUSIVE - let's not forget that it's still an exclusive people, and had it never been made "available" through HTS or TCC that all of us that are crying "ZOMG SCALPER, SCALPER!!" would be saying how good a deal the BBTS price is.

 

Besides, I'd rather shell my money out to someone I can trust and not some faceless entity in Asia.

True, (and this next part is not directed at you Buddykiller) and let's not forget that the average LOWEST Ebay BIN Price for this guy is somewhere between $30 - $50, not including the $25 - $40 shipping some of these guys are charging.

 

I paid $51.68 total for him - do the math, and then factor in the added security of Joel's excellent customer service (i.e. HE DOESN'T SCREW YOU OVER) and the simplicity of buying from his store.

 

So yeah, let's cut it out with the whole "ZOMG BBTS IZ TEH SKALPORZZZ" bullBlot KTHX

That is exactly why I didn't have an issue buying this for the price I did. I have never had an issue with BBTS...ever.

Have ya been on Ebay lately?  There's like 150 Nemesis Primes on there now, with everybody asking (or whittling the bid's up to and including) $50 and up.

 

Granted, there are probably plenty of them who were at the comic con (of course I went to the wizard world in Philly and did they have ol Nemesis prime to offer?  NOOOOOO)  who were not TransFans but jeese. 

 

It even appears (after I signed up for Hasbro.com early this morning) that its sold out under the legit means.

 

Greed. 

 

Now excuse me while I reluctantly drop my $50 for one, rather than haggle .50 cents at a time with other fans who weren't lucky enough to nab one.
