really... who gives a care about bumblebee?

Recommended Posts

everyone wanting a bt one and not getting it, now the classics line will have one and everyone is "omg" about it... who cares? i personaly dont see the alure of bumblebee. i mean he was so useless in the toon. cliffjumper was more interesting than him. he at least got shot less than bumblebee. but.. for me he was just as annoying as warpath and seaspray. just cuz he was so goddam useless. how he couldnt save spike from the spacebridge in that one episode always bugged me. so why no legions of fans for wheelie? makes as much sense as a bumblebee fanboy to me.

Two reasons:

1) underdog. Most people have a soft spot for the underdog and BB fitted that description.

2) Age. Bumblebee was written in such a way that he was appealing as a character to little children and girls (my two sisters only liked one TF and that was BB).

Personally, I don't care about Bumblebee (but the new toy looks okay)

i dont see how hes an underdog. dont you have to actually achieve something?

wasent he always getting banged up? you could always put major battle damage on him to make him look toasted. bb was everyones little brother and yes the scrappy survivor someone you want to pull for. they dont bury survivors :thumb

bumble bee was the second main character after prime.... why shouldn't he get some love?

They haven't made Bumblebee in ages.

The longer you're refused something, the more you want it.

Personally, I liked him in the comic.

He was small and weak, but had a go regardless.

Also, Bumblebee was a spy in his tech spec, so he had the same kind of appeal that the casseticons and Soundwave had.

I always liked BB.  He had no special gimmicks, and with that Brooklyn accent, he related more to humans than other TFs.  I always found a bit more depth in his personality than, say, Prime.

Rawhide's right one those two points.  I'm going to pick up two Classics BB.  One for me, and one for my little sister, for she can name only two TFs from G1 (and this is from watching the DVDs), Prime and Bumblebee.  BB's her fav because he's yellow (her favorite color), and he was also writeen so he's appealing to kids.

I think it is also because it's just been such a bloody long time since the last Bumblebee. That and he shags like a Beetle -- gggrrrwwwl!!

I love the li'l bugger.  Well, he was a bit whiny in Attack of the Autobots... but i love 'im. :)

and now he's a fargin deluxe!
