Alternator Megatron????

Recommended Posts

I still think kids would want them for name alone. As long as the Alt mode is spot on

Do keep in mind that it's not going to be necessary to change the designs if they're simplified enough. I mean, these things are probably gonna be Happy Meal toys.....

Looks good. Really hope this either an Alt the size of 20th Prime or a very realistic looking movie toy. In either case, I will use it as a Megs to fight my MP Prime.

If 40cm is accurate, that's taller than Prime More like Metroplex or Supreme Scream.

Yeah, so...? Never cared too much for Prime so I have very little trouble of Prime facing off against a Megatron who towers over him.  :tfevil

Where, btw, does that 40cm come from?

I for one, seriously doubt that if this is an alt, he will be scale 1:24. It would make him probably a little bit too big. same size as 20th Prime I could understand, and maybe even smaller just like MP Starscream (though I don't want that).

What *is* the standard scale for tank models? I know cars are 1:24 and planes more like 1:48, but tanks...?

1:32?

I think the 40cm thing just came from "this is how tall he *would be* if he were 1/24 scale.

That's where it came from and I meant he'd be taller than 20th Prime who's 30 cm tall

So at 1:32 he'd be 30 cm.

They would do so at their own peril... I can't see any marketing exec okaying that idea.

well, you never know. just look at your own sig, for example. the toys are all brightly colored with fairly humanoid robot modes. those are the kind of toys that appeal to little kids. the movie designs might very well appear relatively dull, ugly, and boring to those same kids. the execs might very well think that the number of kids put-off by the movie-inaccurateness of the toys may be smaller than the number of kids put-off by the movie designs themselves.

The way we're going on, This Megs better come out for real.

Who knows what they'll do... if there are only a handful of (main) characters, they may decide to release multiple versions at different price points.

*thinks the tan looks ugly w/ the otherwise G1-ish color scheme*

*admits that if it had been green/purple he would be going nuts*

I guess my question to Hornet is - which film in the last few years has gone out of its way top make the marketing/toy designs decidedly different than the movie designs?

xmen? Spidrman? Batmanbegins? (which is as far from a kids film as i can imagine and still be talking about spandex operas) Pirates of Carribean?

where is this theory of yours coming from? what precident?
